Diamond shot 5-15 (33%) and once again led the team in turnovers with 3. Cooper shot 3/10 (30%) and once again led the team in fouls committed with 4. I don't understand why two of the worst shooters on the team consistently are allowed to take the most shots, especially considering the rest of the team shot 17/41 (41%).

Because DD is the best player on the floor.

Don't understand why so many believe this hype. It's the four others and then Diamond. The four others have to make up for all her independent play and screw ups. If she'd stick to the stuff she's really good at like getting offensive rebounds she'd be wonderful. Just don't understand why everyone buys into the hype. If you had five of her on a team it'd be a bad team.

I was at the game and from what I observed they seem to be making strides.. There zone offense is getting better to the point I heard jimmy dykes say they picking it apart.

Did you watch the game ? Diamond was the principal reason we won the game.

Props to Jordan Reynolds who is playing the best basketball I have seen her play. I have been very hard on her and Carter and still do not want to see the two of them in the lineup together (which happened last night because Cooper got in foul trouble) but Reynolds may have turned a bit of a corner. She was aggressive, took good shots when they needed to be taken, protected the ball, and was in the right spots on defense. 10 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 turnover for her is pretty good. I hope her good play continues and improves.

Yes, there is some value in watching the game rather than just drawing conclusions from a box score, Most of DD's turnovers happened in the first quarter (where she was not very good). But even there, one was just a miscommunication between she and Graves (a zig where there should have been a zag) and another was where MR fumbled a bounce pass (she should be able to handle those passes but DD needs to realize she can't).

From the 2nd quarter on, she started making plays and shots. Her athleticism on some of the steals was show stoppingly athletic and her lob shot as the clock ran down (On the in bound play) was one that few women's players could make.

Why do you hate Diamond so much. I for one am honored to have her be a lady vol. she is s just now starting to play like the Doamond of old. Let her be man.

Thanks, madtown, LVJeff, and alex. It's good to have posters who understand the game and don't have a bone to pick (trolls). You all add a lot to the board, and I know I am not the only one who appreciates you.

I don't have to believe it. I can see it. Watch the last two games and maybe you will understand if you take the blinders off. Like somebody else said elsewhere in the thread, one of Diamond's turnovers was because Graves was asleep and didn't cut to the basket so it looked bad. Diamond has been a different player the last two games. She is the best player on the floor one on one and it's not close.

Anybody else pick up that Carolyn wants to coach again? It's clear that she still has the passion for it, but I'm wondering since she got burned, she isn't willing to get back into it. I really appreciate her honesty and her passion that she brings to the game as an announcer.

Reluctantly I have to agree.The two best games of Jordan;s three year career have been in SEC Tourney .....the one last nite and the one when she was a freshlady/man in Deluth ,Georgia.I hope she is able to build on it also but fear she won't .We shall have part of that answer tonite.

Was it the 33% shooting or the 3 turnovers? Or was it the 1 assist? I haven't seen but one or two games this year she was the reason we won and many more likely she was the major reason we lost.

Where in the box score does it count how many times her defense disrupted the offense of Arkansas? Where in the box score does it tally her at the top of the press, causing the Arkansas offense to slow down and make a bad pass/to?

The only thing DD isn't for this team is coached correctly. I saw this kid play in Atlanta. Several times. You know even at that age, whats up.... DD needs athe right coach... Not situation... She came here to be coached. And Coop followed her. They were a tandem in Ga too.

Nope, if HW can't win a war with these and the other ten hired guns,,, she needn't be Sheriff.
