I had to do some research for this one.
It seems that Jennifer Rizzotti was not a very highly sought after recruit coming out of high school (estimated>100).
She went on to be an AP player of the year at Connecticut.

I was also saying that to say he doesn't just go after 5 stars he makes it work with the lower level talent he recruits as well

Here's a link of his 2016 recruiting class;
2016 High School Girls' Basketball Recruits - Connecticut - ESPN

As you can she there is a 5'8" G and a 6'2" Post that are 3 star players. With the lost of Stewie and more than likely Tuck and the transfer of Boykins the 6'2" Post will more than likely be logging minutes behind the 6'5" Butler. Holly didn't even look at a 3 star until she whiff on all her 5 stars in November. Geno picks players and offers players scholarships based on his philosophy and not just because they are 5 star recruits/All Americans

The Vols problem is not "the big head" but a lack of confidence and swagger. We've been missing both for years. I had to shake my head at Cooper making the SEC All Freshman team. She has talent and potential--but she's not had a good year, and yet this citation makes it appear as though she has.

WHEN was this announced? I agree, if it was named since the SEC games started in January, it is crazy.

If we push the ball up the court and make their defense work we should win the game. You still have to make shots and we have a better chance of doing that if were pushing the ball getting the defense our of position and taking the open shot available.
Forget about the Holly speak quick shoot the basketball let it fly when you open probably the best shot you will get.

So we split the regular season series with the Lady Razorbacks winning one game pretty handily. We seem to have gotten our mo-jo back the final regular season game against Georgia.

If we play like that no way we lose this first game for us in the SEC tourney. I'm going to predict Lady Vols 70 Lady Razorbacks 58. GO LADY VOLS!

There is only one team in the conference that can match our talent--south carolina. We should beat everyone else, and could beat them--but it will require playing tough-minded, confident basketball and not the pathetic crap we saw all season.

We will win this game in easy fashion if we use the same lineup we used against Georgia. The girls take it up another gear knowing their backs are against the wall.The LVs kick a little and win 80 to 59.:boxing2:

The uuuuuuuuuge question for the Lady Vols is this: Did the Lady Vols play like they did against Georgia ONLY because they wanted the seniors to go out on a winning note in their last home game?

If they did, then that certainly doesn't bode well for their SEC tourney chances.

As it is, the team has shown that they can be beaten by just about anyone if Diamond isn't playing well. Actually, they have proven they can be beaten by just about anyone even if Diamond IS playing well...

The only chance they have for a long tournament run is if they can get out to some big leads, let the starters rest (especially Bashaara and Diamond), and have the bench play big minutes without losing the lead. There's no reason that anyone other than Jackson, Middleton, Dunbar and Moore needs to be playing 30 minutes tonight.
