Unfortunately, with the way the season has gone, games like this are a MUST win. If we get swept by a team with a losing record, it will almost certainly come back to haunt us.

You don't have to sit Bash to free up Mercedes. You can start them together just put Bash at the high post where she's better facing up. Get the 2 on 2 game working for her and Mercedes. Say if they're doubling Mercedes and you have Graves in the high post the player has to respect Graves mid range game and come off Mercedes, then you can have Bash drive to the basket or dump it over head to Mercedes. But the staff has yet to realize this for the last two seasons.

The thing about this Arkansas team is they're very young but Jimmy has them playing so hard....I have no idea how this one will turn out....Arkansas is better than Bama heading coaching wise....Bama was terrible they have not been the same program since letting go of Rick Moody who lead them to final 4 and sweet 16 appearances

Because this is a Game where we remember them beating us an they should have never came within 20 point. WE will blow them out

Seems like when we get the offense going then the defense is bad. Need to play better on the defensive end to many easy shots for them under the basket.

I hope Diamond does well tonight and plays team ball. She needs her confidence and so do we. To talented to not use. Hopefully tonight a positive and not a negative for this team.

Middleton and deshields equals the other team scoring. My grandma could blow by middleton.

We fought on the boards versus Bama now were standing and watching them rebound. Need a lot more energy on the boards and on defense.

Getting a little more active on defense now is the time to stretch out this lead to about 15 by the half.

14 point lead really excellent second quarter. Diamond is playing like a leader tonight. She is staying within the team concept and she has played a beautiful game.

I think Graves hurting her ankle may be a blessing in disguise! (Not wishing ill will) but I am liking what I see (from the players, it is still a lot of questionable coaching decisions) and granted I know it is against Arkansas, but Nared is looking good at the 4, Te'a is stepping up and looking like we wanted her to look from the beginning. Russell is still getting pushed around a little bit but she seems to be getting a little more hungrier. Carter is starting to take a few shots that she use to pass up. I think if we can get Diamond to buy in (I know it's hard because what actually is she buying into we have no established offense) and tune Holly out, we might can turn things on come SEC Tournament time and if we get in the right bracket we could surprise some people. No one is expecting us to do anything. We have Final Four Talent if we can just begin to play like it we could be the team "No One" wants to play in the tournament!

I agree. And not because I don't think Graves is a great player - she is - but because we're seeing a similar phenomenon to what happened last year when Izzy got hurt. Go figure.

Regardless of when Graves returns need to keep the one post offense really makes the defense have to stretch to guard everybody. We've had all the three point shots wide open that we want. We have also went inside well Moore missed that easy layup and that five footer in front of the basket. We could sub Graves in there may cut her minutes but she could play about 15 while Russell is on the bench.
