Game Thread Lady Vols vs Auburn in the SEC Tournament

hard to believe this is what LVs are bringing to the table....

Is it though? Something has just felt really off about this team since their 1st loss. The last time I felt this bad about our team was 2009. It's like they can't figure it out.

IDT any analyst would pick the LVs to beat SCAR tomorrow. Of course A'ja will play. She's been practicing and Staley has every intention of playing her as much as she needs her.

I'm hoping this second half will be like this past Sunday. The press by Auburn wears TN down. We've got to stop those lucky shots being made by the barn to have a chance.

That's a Nell No! SC does not have the best point guard in the SEC. MSU's is better, there are a few that are better IMO.

Ty Harris is the best PG in the SEC . As much as id hate to say . Itty bitty has done exactly that this season , and what others do you believe are better ?

Yeah Auburn isn't goint to shoot that well going forward. They will probably be down by 10 or so mid 3rd quarter and lose by 15+. That was probably their best shot.

I feel the same. But, I suppose it could also turn into one of those puncher's chance games, maybe. If Auburn keeps it to 3-4 possessions, gets a big swing in the 4th, and all of a sudden that tension ratchets up on Tennessee. Shouldn't happen. Auburn's FG% average is outside the top 200 in national rankings. BUT. They're top 10 in steals per game; add that to Tennessee's propensity for turning the ball over and ... meh. A couple of lost possessions and some luck and it'll be an ugly finish.

Only PG in the conference that will reach 200 assists this season. If she's not the best she's one of THE BEST!

Serious question. If Auburn is as good as these announcers act like, how’d they end up 14-14 on the year?

.... and we let them hit 50% against us in the first half :eek:hmy:

That happens. The averages are averages for a reason though. Auburn's under 40% for the season. Sure, they _may_ shoot 50% in the second half, but the odds are that they won't. Tennessee has the ability and talent to play a better game in the second half, but Auburn shot 10% better than they have all season and were only up 3 at the half. My money's on Tennessee winning by about 10-15 by the time the clock hits 00:00. One of those 77-64 kind of finishes.

Westbrook and Jackson have been turnover machines tonight. Auburn has fouled enough that should get 50 free throws.

Would you like the opportunity to revise your statement? Lol :cray:

I can’t believe what I’m seeing with Evina. What in the world is happening? Even the announcers said she’s a sideline magnet.

Question. Does Auburn make every team look this bad or just Tennessee?? I was at the game when Auburn played Georgia which is the only other time I saw them play and this was after the Tennessee game and I expected the press to just eat Ga up and it never happened. So is it just Tennessee? Asking for a friend or myself?🤦🏽*♀️
