Jones and Burdick seem to be the only bigs that can hit the short 8-12 ft. jumpers. The other bigs shoot bricks when they are more than a few ft. from the basket. Makes playing a high-low offense difficult when the post player near the foul line is not a threat to score.

i know,there were such high hopes for our centers,Izzy looked like a beast for a long time this year,she has slipped and the team has went with her,Russell shows some flashes of what she will be in the future,a year in the weight room will help her and graves showed what she could do last night,she played this game like she was playing last year

I do realize that and I feel we should have won by at least 30.

As the game wore on and the refs inserted themselves into the game the fans responded but at times I felt there was just not a lot of excitement generated.

I did like the play of Reynolds and Carter. Jones played a good second half but we are still making too many bad passes.

Hi mule. It was great to hear the chant although a few around me were chanting " We want Pat back."

She was gracious as always.

I started out 26 seats back in section 100 and ended up sitting in vacant seats in section 104 10 rows back. Great seats and thanks to the season ticket holders who didn't show up.

What's to understand? She's just not at the level of the other players. She played 5-6 minutes against Florida and had basically no impact.

Whose minutes should she be taking? Harrison? Russell? Graves? She's not even close to those players, even for a few minutes.

but we love Nia DeerPark,she is the back up QB,she will bring em to glory :) but do you think she will be better next year ?

Reynolds looks much better as a freshman point guard than Massengale did in my opinion. It is not about penetrating or making shots. It is about defense and making the offense flow. She is so good at making the offense flow even as a freshman. She should start Reynolds and Carter back-up at point, move Massengale to the two with Simmons as back-up, and Burdick and Jones the three, Graves and Harrison the four, and Russell the five. She could also run Harrison and Graves some at 5 and have Jones swing between 3 and 4. She should never run Simmons at point, the team just stands around because they don't know what she's going to do except wait for her to shoot the ball and then they're out of position to get a rebound. She is so disruptive of the offense. She gets her points but has a lot of turnovers and gets everyone else out of any offensive rhythm.

tell me if i am wrong,didn't the announcers say that this starting line up was undefeated ? or were they undefeated for so many games ? I don't remember which and it was good to see CHW take Izzy out early before she got into foul trouble

In the big games against the top 10 - 20 teams what have Jones and Burdick done ? give me some numbers. :unsure:

Nia is a little too ladylike. She needs to play a little tougher and not so prissy. I can understand why you want to see her she is easy on the eyes.

Better performance than Monday,but still things to work on.Some said they had to run in practice when a bad pass was made.Obviously they didn't run enough.At least the coaches are now trying to make them value each possession.There are some players who should never be allowed more than two dribbles(Simmons,Jones,Harrison).That said,the team looked somewhat more cohesive.Still too much beating the ball against the floor rather than short,crisp passes.But progress is progress.Go Lady Vols!

Give me one big game that Burdick and Jones has played well ? just one. :eek:hmy: i`m not gonna go back and forth with you on this issue it`s dead the facts are on the court.
