Another thing that I think needs to be addressed is the conditioning of some of the players. They get winded pretty easily. I don't know if it is a weight thing, but they need to be able to play more than a few minutes before resting.

I'm just now watching the game but at 1:20 in the first I've seen more zone than man. The combo of DD and Reynolds looking really good so far. Liked the make up of that starting line up.

Diamond is talented and fun to watch..... But why cater to her? To appease her? Is she indispensable to the team? I am looking at this year's box scores right now.... and there seem to be precious few games where she has stood out.... including shooting percentages, big turnover totals etc.... it is apparent that DD does not respect the coach.... that may have basis..... but the other thing is that I think DD thinks she is the most valuable player on the team.... She is not, IMHO

Maybe sitting Deshields' butt on the bench finally, maybe, got her attention. We shall see how she conducts herself in the SEC Tournament.

But today she played really well.

Hey Bobkitten you would get winded too playing full court defense like they did today .....anyone will no matter how good of shape you are in.Other than free throw shooting this was a damn great performance.

I'm watching at the 4 minute mark of the 3rd. Three things are sticking out to me.

1. Reynolds is really pushing down the floor and getting us into the offense quickly and we seem to be getting higher quality shots.

2. Diamond has made about 20 great plays on defense that will not show up in the box score.

3. UGA is playing 90% zone so far but they are not packing in the zone which is creating openings both inside and drives.

This is true. I had a coach tell me that if you can play an all-out Press style for more than 3 minutes straight without getting gassed, then you aren't playing hard enough. At the NCAA level you can probably up that to 5 minutes.

We are now an 7 seed in sec tourney cuz auburn and Missouri lost and we beat them both no where near South Carolina until champ..

Good, maybe it's meant for the Lady Vols to win the SEC tournament. What a turnaround of sorts it would be for them to win the SEC after the terrible season they've had. They have all the momentum in the world after this big win against Georgia, let's just hope they can build on it

A team that could barely reach 40 points the last few games scores 80 today. DeShields looked focused and confident today--looked like a different player, or maybe it was just that her shots were going in. Moore is a player who could have played more this year--she's a pretty decent offensive player, and can move.

If you can't see what a difference maker she is when she is playing like she did today I don't know what to tell you. She brought it. And I think you are incorrect, I think she is the MVP not because she's necessarily player that way all season, but when she's is locked in you see what happens. Today happens. Take her impact out of this game and it's potentially a squeaker.

She is a difference maker between being great and a disastrous season......hope she has figured things out and plays this way the rest of the year.

This was the kind of play we were all expecting from DD all year. We got it in the last game. We can only hope she--and the rest of the squad-- keeps it going.

We still have time, just need a winning streak, here's to start of post season winning streak, if we lose no more games, we can still win SEC Tournament Championship.

Exactly, maybe she loves the theatrics, maybe this is the start to a remarkable run...

Diamond, gonna need Beastshaara and Cooper playing well to make that run.

If those two can score, Draya and Reynolds dont have to score, they can defend and wear out opposing team strongest guard, Reynolds bump be physical, carter harass and trail, but they should still be trying to get to the basket on offense, now we just need to defend. If Deshields and Cooper play well we win some games, if either one struggle and no other guard or guards are able to pick up the slack, we will struggle.

If Reynolds and Carter, don't play well and get tons of minutes, it will be the same ole thing.



Defense, rebounds and good guard play wins Championships and Big time games.

Did Georgia play a man defense today (didn't see game). Hard to believe we scored 80 against a zone.
