Yeah,, now they got to work on their timing on trapping...They're trapping in the back court. They need to set the trap once the ball crosses half-court so the offense can't go backwards....Opponent gets one step over, then set the trap.

Annie and Rennia both have to learn not to force the game and let it come to them. It is a difficult mindset to be patient when you are wanting to impress.

They will learn.

The same with reactions to mistakes and misses...Not displaying anger or dropping of the head or shoulders,...It comes with time and maturity in the game

The one player that I thought had a bad game was KK. She should be redshirted, imho. Too bad the roster is too short to allow that to happen.

unfortunately, I haven't seen anything in this game or the previous game that leads me to believe this team will do any better than last year. Neither do I see anything that suggests the Lady Vols will be back in a final four or NC in the next few years.

Yep. And I have watched it. However, they don't online stream many of the non-revenue sports and when channels are available, why not broadcast them. The alternate channels are difficult to find when games run over since they seldom use the listed channels in those occasions.

That’s not truth that’s opinion... lol and like buttholes everybody has one. Effort and ball movement are more evident to me than in previous years. Look at the turnover ratio compared to the same two teams we played last year with more seasoned players on the court. Look at the assist number? Has it gone up, gone down, or stayed the same? Look at deflections... Shoot look at how the players run over to help each other up off the ground this year or even the opposing player. I can take aggressive turnover but the just lackidasical turnover from not paying attention are the ones hard to stomach. Look at Annie ... had 8 turnovers first game only 3 this game with 8 assists and even learned from her drives IN THE same game and got into the meat of the defense, attached defender, and kicked out for open 3 to KD (twice) and Meme.

We have a long way to go for sure but to say there is no positive reason to see improvement is a reach. Even if we lose to big schools and beat the teams we are supposed to that’s improvement. But people 👀 what they want to 👀.

I am so impressed by Cheridene Green. If I were the head coach I'd give her at least 20 mpg, even if it meant Russell only got 20.

Dont take this the wrong way but I am glad you are not the coach to sit Russell and play green more OMG I WOULD lose it . Green is good and you guys need to remember she has not played for a 1 and a half she needs to be eased into games she will get more minutes but holly is easing her in

I agree she should be eased in and I also agree she shouldn't replace Russell but I think she needs to see more time and it should be with Russell so that Nared is about to move to her Natural position.

Nared has gotten away with guarding 4's on JMU and ETSU but against better competition it could be a problem and we don't need her picking up 2 quick fouls trying to defend some of the 4's she'll see in the SEC (and some of the tougher OOC opponents).

Green has a motor that Russell simply doesn't have (imo) and she is willing to bang/bruise (and no I am not knocking Russell). I like that Green is willing to go and get rebounds or challenge shot that Russell would normally look at or raise her hands looking to avoid the foul.

I think eventually she replace Meme in the starting Lineup soon. Again no Knock on MeMe but I like how her and Hayes Play with each other like I like how Westbrook and Davis play with each other.

GREEn will get more minutes she is more of a banger it’s hard to pull meme she hustle she is the calming force in the backcourt but we will go 8 deep most games kk will not play some games until she get in better shape and catch a pass but I like kid she is coming along I want to see her sprint every time even wen play not called for her she will open so many things like that

Maybe it is just me but there were more than a few ghost calls made last night by that officiating crew especially the dark haired guy. I thought the team adapted somewhat but some of those calls were real headscratchers. Maybe our team is so quick that the cameras can’t record the foul. I wish the officials would call fouls when our bigs get mugged after getting a rebound.

Agree on KK. She seems really slow and out of shape compared to Green.

Redshirted KK is a good idea, but we need her next year so let her play and get better this year.

SHE JUST PLAYED HER SECOND COLLEGE GAME EVER!

You all think redshirting is just an easy thing to do. It affects someone's life. How do you know she wants to stay in school for five years? Do you want her only playing three years instead of four and leaving with her class?

An impressive stat is Annie Hayes has got to the line 21 times in the first two games and made 17 of them. When you consider that our posts have only been 15 times and made 7 you can see that she has been getting to the basket and getting fouled. I don't know if she can maintain a pace of 10 free throws a game but as great as she is at the line that would be a lot of points on free shots from the little guard love how she forces the action.
She also had 8 assists and 3 turnovers after having the first bad game of 8 turnovers and 3 assists.
I think she is going to be a great guard she will learn when to attack and when to pass on the attack. I look for her to be a double digit scorer this season.

Westbrooks has 10 assists and 5 turnovers and a couple of those turnovers were awesome passes that people weren't ready to catch. They have to be ready she will get them the ball.

Were shooting .504 from the field for the first two games. I can't remember when we ever did that for two games in a row. The free throw shooting has to improve only 63 percent go to get that over 70.

Overall I am delighted with this team. They have only played together two games and have been tremendous. They beat the spread by 13 in game one and by 17 in game two. They have so much room to get better as a team. This could be an awesome team by NCAA tourney time.

Kk has 4 points and 6 rebounds in 14 minutes of play. She is 2 of 3 from the field so need a lot more information on her before anyone can point out that she hasn't played well. For the time she has played her stats are impressive. Two games in she has been terrific.
