And? We should beat them and any other #2 they give us ... if we play as we are capable, their centers are banking 3's, and the refs don't try to screw us.

The point I was trying to make is we have to play them either way. We'll both be in the same bracket.

When we got her I thought she looked like the kind of player who may be able to contribute by her junior year. I don't think that is going to happen... maybe senior. We picked her up late as an afterthought when we hired one of our coaches who had recruited her.

To be blunt, she doesn't play much unless our recruiting tanks and we miss on a bunch of players.

I expect some upsets this year. I would love to see somebody knock UConn out of the tourney. That would be a great game to watch.

Nia seems to have some talent and could play for a lot of programs. At Tennessee she isn't gonna see much time because she has been recruited over at the present time. If we don't get some post players soon she may be forced into playing time as a senior. Izzy only has one more year no post players in the next class. I don't see any in the next class at this time. That is one area where Holly needs to get it going.

I've been just lightly watching them the last 6 or 7 years but when Raleigh was coach they just seemed to have a bunch of goobers. They look like they have some athletes now.

I think they'll be good in the front court even after Izzy is gone. Russell , Graves and Jones will still there

Wow, freshman Jordan Reynolds!! She came into the game & made some very clutch baskets to give us big momentum to carry us on to victory. Reynolds deserves some kind of trophy for being a clutch player in the moment.

Common sense dictates we will get a #1. Tennessee was #6 in the AP and just beat a top 50 team, top 15 team, and top 5 team for the SEC tournament title. Meanwhile, 2 teams ahead of them lost, and another is facing a team they've lost to twice and could likely lose to for the third time.

I was only able to catch the last few minutes of the game on ESPN's Gamecast, so I didn't "see" any of it. I just noticed their box score shows 4 technical fouls in the game: 1 each on Stallworth, Walker, Burdick, and Jones. I haven't seen any mention of these in the last couple of pages, so I'm wondering if it's just a mistake. If not, what happened?

It cannot be explained! The officiating was so bad. Izzy got mugged with a forearm to the back as she was being hit with the body by 300 pounder. Burdick expressed her opinion but did not hit anyone and she and the big gal both got a technical. Then immediately they called off-setting technical on Jones and Stallworth for talking. It was unbelievable.

Have seen some very bad officiating, but this one topped them all. Worse than terrible.

If we were a #2, it's possible we could face UCONN or Notre Dame BEFORE the final 4. It is now NOT possible. That's the main reason we want the #1 seed. Plus, in theory, every game up to the elite 8 should also be a little easier as well as a #1 versus a #2 and upsets DO happen, so every advantage helps.
