Game Thread: Lady Vols Vs LSU: SEC Semi; 6:30 PM on ESPNU (((WIN 69-67)

The defensive regression from last year is what makes no sense at all. You brought back everyone except Rae and got a better player from the portal to replace her. And no, I don’t buy that losing Key is enough to explain it
It is Key she makes up for lack of speed by her presence her length makes it difficult. Look at rest of our Post slow no length.

Rickea is doing her best but this game is over unless someone else besides her becomes a major factor. Reese sat on the bench for half the quarter and they basically maintained the lead.
2 things really, the first is too many careless turnovers, and next I would say they are hitting open shots and we aren’t, that’s the game in a nutshell.

Bring Miles in the second I know she’s seen who not to throw the ball to offense. Need someone who can stick to Morris. What’s the worst that can happen, because it’s already happened.

Team is built all wrong you need to have guards that can shoot the ball to open up plays for Rickea against these better teams. Powell and Walker 0 for 6. I guess Horston is our two guard she is 1 for 6. Jackson 5 of 8 and everybody else 4 of 22. 13 turnovers glad they talked about taking care of the ball last night.

our offensive scheme looks so predictable. It’s either Jackson or Horston. Horston is missing easy layups and shots over a defender several inches short than her. Jackson is being clobbered and feels the pressure having to score which has cause her to turn it over some, but she’s actually scored points. You got Tess darby who only catches the ball and doesn’t move, and then passes back out. Striplin finally took a layup, and has at least shot the ball. Puckett is basically the same as darby, catches and pivots and then passes back out. And Puckett missed an easy layup over a player several inches shorter than her. Walker is at least shooting the 3, and has been our best defense so far.

I blame every issue with this team on coaching and poor recruiting. Im sorry but some of these girls would have never played for Pat and half of them wouldnt play for 3/4 of the rest of the SEC.
We have no true athletes outside Jackson and Horston.. I miss Hornbuckle, Snow, Candice, the 3 Meeks, Lawson and many others. We don't and haven't had anyone remotely close in a while

Turnovers is what the difference is. If we take care of the ball, this game is much closer.

It really is embarrassing these sloppy turnovers just throwing the ball away. Missed shots Horston is a no show and Walker your PG has had a bad game. I believe everyone knows I am one of the more positive posters on here but that half of ball is sickening. In CHRIST Alone

Here's the "redemption" game everyone wanted. Chatter on the forum all season has been "LSU is overrated," "Tennessee would be ranked as high as LSU with their schedule," "Tennessee would beat LSU away from their homecourt," etc. Well, now we will find out, and Kellie has one more opportunity to get a signature victory this season. Let's see what you've got...

Yeah, if they weren’t taking care of the ball they would have 30 turnovers and be trailing 60-12.

LSU is still a hard team to get a bead on. They have that glitzy record but still not one win versus a ranked opponent. I suspect they are probably a top 5-10 team, but we don’t know still and it’s end of season, weird. Their schedule of course is the culprit, but also the one ranked team they played beat them decisively. We will know more after today, but even if they win the doubt lingers again until tomorrow. I could see them squeak by UT today and get thrashed again tomorrow if SC is their opponent.
Backhand slap to this board…needed for some to understand.
