The UCONN win did me wonders as my mom passed away the day after at only 65. I knew what was coming while watching the game, so it was very emotional in a good way when UT won. I am holding out hope UT can pull this one off as well. UT 83 LSU 82.

LSU usually has a great crowd but Im wondering if the Super Bowl in NO will tame it a bit for us today. Hopefully so!
Don't think so. The Super Bowl is not for regular people; even w ticket sales not great this year each ticket is well over 1000$. As far as tv, most fans should be home before it actually starts.

This would be a huge win to get. Underscores the breakthrru win, all but seals a hosting spot, and probably most importantly, gives the LVs a real shot a getting 4th place and a double bye in the SEC tourney. We have five losses and KY only has one, but they still have to play LSU, Texas and So Car. If they lose all those, which is likely, and we win out our game against them will be for 4th place.

Our key is the same as it was against UConn. We have to shoot better than we usually do and they have to be ice cold. Also, we can't let a pg go off on us. Last yr it was HVL, earrlier this year is was Gilbert. I don't see that happening again.

I don’t necessarily mean that people will be at the Super Bowl but that they may be at watch parties or just avoiding driving around in general. Baton Rouge isn’t NO obviously but I’m sure it’s still going to be crazy. Probably a lot of people staying there from oot for slightly cheaper lodging since it’s only about 45 minutes

At LSU is one of the toughest places in the country to get a road win. UT will likely sweep their remaining games in regular season after this one, but the defense is probably not yet good enough to win in Baton Rouge.

Spearman, Whitehorn, and Spencer have to match Morrow, Williams, and Wilson. Off the bench it’s Latham, Hollingshead, and Boyd vs Smith, Wolfenbargar, and Poa. Spear vs Gilbert.
I love our chances today.
Talaysia Cooper against any team can be the best player on the court. Same with Flau’jae Johnson.
Tennessee is a deeper team than LSU.
I believe strategically it was a strong coaching decision for Coach Caldwell to settle with a 10 starter rotation.
Today, I’m willing to bet Coach Caldwell sticks with her set 10 starter rotation but it’ll take an extra amount of effort plus outstanding shooting for Darby and Puckett to match up with LSU on the road.
Tennessee has Destinee Wells and Favor Ayodele who are in my opinion better suited to matchup with LSU bench players.
I think in this game today if CKC extends her bench and rotates 10-12 players the LVs will win and will win big on the road. You don’t see but a few teams maybe three or four in the country that can beat UCONN while not having reached their ceiling as a team.
GBO!

Like a lot of games probably comes down to three or four possessions. Rebounding is probably the key to winning this one. If we keep them off the offensive boards and they can't score second chance points we win the game today. We win the first game handily if we had kept Morrow off the boards in the first quarter. We did a good job of that for the last three quarters have to do it early today. Offensive rebounds, free throws, shooting percentage, turnovers. You strive to win any three out of the four and you almost always win the game. We definitely can win we have the abillty playing to that ability is something were still striving for on a consistent basis.

I think you two are being petty and unfair. Coach Mulkey is a tough, hard competitive person but she is not a horrid person. she has been a credit to her gender, profession and sport.
So, you old grumpy people are sticking together now it seems. You go gule....lol....

Intriguing breakdown of the game.
Tennessee has more depth than LSU.
In the first LSU vs UT game, one thing that has been overlooked is that the LVs took the lead late in the 4th qtr.
With the lead they slow it down one or two possessions but couldn’t execute to extend the lead. That was the difference in the game.
If Tennessee executes down the stretch late in the game, they will beat LSU.

Yeah, I don’t get criticizing other people’s looks when they get older, it happens to everyone eventually. She had her day, which is more than a lot of folks can ever say.

But we can criticize her clothes can’t we. It’s so much fun. My mom dressed a lot like her. 🤣🤣🤣. We used to make fun of my mom. She passed in 2014. But she is an awesome coach and her record backs it up. But not today mullet. Not today! Go Vols!

Did she always have those Keebler Elf ears or is it just a bad angle/picture?
