I think you two are being petty and unfair. Coach Mulkey is a tough, hard competitive person but she is not a horrid person. she has been a credit to her gender, profession and sport.

When Mulkey was younger, her father cheated on her mother, later divorced her, and eventually married a younger woman. This made Kim Mulkey so angry that she never forgave him, and hasn't even spoken to him in close to 40 years. He's 87 years old now, and despite very much wanting to speak to his daughter, she still won't forgive him. She apparently hasn't spoken to her sister in decades, either.

Anybody who holds grudges that deeply, that harshly, and for that long,
may be a bit of a horrid person.

Everyone deals with it differently, I personally don’t blame her for handling it this way. Helped her create who she is today and her path might have been different had she been forgiving. Don’t think it makes her a horrid person, just someone who lost trust in her father.

Personally this game will be much easier than the UConn game. I don’t see LSU keeping up, they got very lucky first go around

TN 84
LSU 70

Bench will over power them

People are making LsU something that they are not. I don’t think they are that good. It’s mostly a 3 player team and two of those players are selfish ball hogs

I’m not a fan of mulkey but that aspect with her dad is between them two. For all we know he could have mistreated her and her family, more to the story beyond just him cheating on her mom.

From a guy's perspective, this is a near impossible recovery time. A favorite NBA bet is the game following a huge home upset, especially on the road against a tough opponent. Really your only shot is to withstand the early flurry of blows and hope to enter final quarter with only a single point deficit.

Blow out win for the purple people, I think. Hope I'm wrong!!!

Jax Vol....You may be right, however the betting line is only a plus 4.5 points for the good girls in orange and white....A lot of talent is about to attack the Tigers.

I’m curious why you think this game will be easier than UConn?

To my eye, LSU is more athletic and has the best rebounder in the country in Morrow. They’re also better defensively.

I do think UConn’s sets are harder to guard, which could make things easier for us defensively. But LSU can just flat out over-power you.

That’s where I would draw the line, too. Agreed.

I get what @Rooster1 is saying; but other than the situation you mention, I would say it’s open season to mock an opposing coach. I don’t think anyone here doubts she’s good. I don’t even mind (secretly) the outfit drama she plays up. But she’ll have to wait for the off-season to get any respect from me. 😂

Intriguing breakdown of the game.
Tennessee has more depth than LSU.
In the first LSU vs UT game, one thing that has been overlooked is that the LVs took the lead late in the 4th qtr.
With the lead they slow it down one or two possessions but couldn’t execute to extend the lead. That was the difference in the game.
If Tennessee executes down the stretch late in the game, they will beat LSU.

Re-posting the photo of Kim by itself because I like it and most of it doesn’t show in the X you posted.

Very true! Again, I am firmly in the Lady Vols corner.

But, I do recall our recent men's team near upset of Auburn. Next game, we started with an extremely low energy level.

But hung around and finally won going away.

The SEC Is difficult enough. Throwing in the SEC schedule, with a UConn type team, makes it extra tough.

GO LADY VOLS!!!

I always look forward to Kim’s outfit. Bring on the show!
(Jennifer Roberts wears some weird Goth leather, too!)

You have no knowledge on that family situation to make that comment. I’m surprised you would offer up the description of a horrid woman not knowing what happened in that family. Some things are close to unforgivable, can you say you know none of that is in play here?

I usually agree with “some“ of your stuff, but you have no business calling anyone a horrid person while not knowing anything about a personal family situation.

It’s really out of control these days on the net. Everyone is an expert. I had a father that was abusive to my mom, I never forgave him, maybe I’m a horrid person also.
