I remember when Holly was saying how awesome the defense was after we beat Troy by 65 points. I really thought they were good too until they actually played some teams with a little talent and now we find out how false that was. It turns out Troy could not score 60 in a game even if they were the only team on the floor.:)

Simmons was not the worst player on the floor tonight. She was our best player overall. She did her job for the most part and I could name a few that didn't but want they know who they are.

Simmons disrupts the offense. No one knows what she's doing. I don't understand why she was handling the ball so much starting the second half and not Massengale?

She has certainly had her share of bad games this season. I could name her in several but tonight she played well enough for us to win. Several other players didn't do enough both offensively and defensively for us to win.

Like I said if you gonna cheer for the Lady Vols or even the men lower your expectations. If you can't do that better to find another hobby to take up your time.

What ever player the ball is going through in the offensive sets it is their role to get the rest of the team involved in the offense. During the first half they were Massengale, Reynolds and Carter. In the second half it was almost entirely Simmons. Why?

Tennessee could easily become an unranked team by seasons end. With that much talent, that would be unacceptable. I'm trying to stand behind Holly, but I'm starting to lose a bunch of confidence in her, and I'm afraid we will start to lose the recruits as well. Can you imagine how bad we would be if we didn't have half the talent we do have??

i don't know what happened to Massengale,but she never looked the same after she hit the court so hard in the first half

Carter needs to step it up,she is a good player,of course it is easy to forget this is her freshmen year and wasn't Reynolds not on the floor much in the 2nd half ?

This is an elite 8 team with even better players added and we're going backwards. Why?

Well like everyone said this team has no leader, or killer instinct in them to be able to do that. it's very sad how no one wants to take responsibility and lead by example for the rest of this team.

We won the first half by moving the ball. The defense was awful in that half also but we scored enough that it didn't matter.

i know,it is driving me nuts,Graves or somebody,Izzy has done well most of the year,but she seems to be in a slump or something right now

Yes, we came out in the second half and watched Simmons do a lot of dribbling. I'm glad she got her big points and player of the game.

Jones, Burdick, and Graves gave us very little tonight. Carter played good defense very reluctant to shoot. Those first three should be good for at least 30 points and 20 rebounds every game. We got 9 points and 8 rebounds out of those three and they played 50 minutes combined.

This is a very talented team that looked like a FF team in the first half. The executed well while ND played a zone. I knew that Simmons and Massingale couldn't shoot 100% in the second half and Tenn was up 5 at the end of the 1st half. The second half ND went to man to man and Tenn couldn't get anything going. Hollys strategy in the first half was great in the second half the LVs didn't execute like they did in the first. The question is why didn't they execute. The talent is there, the go to players are there but they seem to lack cohesiveness and chemistry in the second half. In the first half they passed the ball well. No quick shots, good cuts, good dribble drives and they got the ball to their bigs. In the second half they didn't. What they need is discipline and focus. They need to get a game plan and stick with it and not deviate from it. They need a lot of help help defense. With their height advantage they should've been able to have their guards play up. With Harrision and Russell one play defense down low and one out front to force ND to take treys like they did in the 1st half. It was hard for me to watch the second half. The first half was beautiful basketball until ND went on their run which you have to expect from a top 4 team. Tenn has to utilize their bigs more. Harrison is a great player and getting better game by game. Russell needs time to develop and Graves needs more touches and more plays designed to get her open. JMO

She did have 7 turnovers without being pulled out of the game. 10 of 14 shooting was great but I don't know what Holly was doing by letting her control the ball. That was a huge coaching mistake.
