Texas is favored by 15.5. That's quite a point spread having only lost by a total of 5 points so far.

Yeahhhhh, I can't say I'm surprised by that the way Texas has been playing and our particular matchup. The Lady Vol press is likely to be ineffective against them, we are unlikely to be able to wear them down, and we are unlikely to be able to get more than a handful of shots off from anywhere on the floor that aren't strongly contested.

Spotting them only 15 points might be kind. But as most of us know by now, you really never know what could happen. We could catch magic on the same night they forget to bring their A (or B) game and we could knock 'em off. I'm sure hoping for that!

We've seen Texas, and Maddie Booker, be way off a few times this season. We need that to happen.

We also need the game to be called closely and their posts to get in foul trouble.

Meanwhile, we need to hit shots, esp 3 pt shots, and esp early in the game. We have to control tempo and speed them up.

Harmon is very short, it's possible our trap in the backcourt will work on her.

If all that happens, it's possible . . .

When you lead the country in scoring possessions under 3 seconds the other team gets a lot more possessions.

Where do we stand on scoring margin per game? The most relevant defensive stat.

All games so far the LVs are around +25 on scoring margin. If you only consider SEC games plus FSU, Iowa, MTSU, Liberty and Memphis, the margin is +10. The scores of those early season cupcake games skew the average a lot.
