I feel like we see Darby at the head of the press fairly often, yet it seems pretty uncommon that she makes a backcourt stop. That perplexes me. Will have to pay more attention to see if I can figure it out.

Agreed. There's a reason that Liberty has 84 points, and it's not our defense being really bad... they have a good roster!

Smuda had Spencer 1:1 but kicked it back out for some reason. That's several times now that we've ended up with a mismatch on Smuda (not that our 1:1 defense has done much to stop her when we've had posts on her either).

One big positive is that after going 8-21 on FTs at South Carolina, Talaysia Cooper is now 12-13 on FTs to start her Tennessee career.

As a team we're 17-18 today (94%).

This happened often at Marshall because they did not play hard for four quarters. There was only a handful of games when they played hard 4 quarters all game.

Definitely these last 2 games against good mid major programs that makes tourneys and play very connected with established Coach has really challenged our team that is still very much under Construction. Coach will be very upset with Defense. Much to work on. 4-0 is nice all by double digits. Go Lady Vols. In CHRIST Alone

The theory is we simply outrun the SEC posts to compensate for lack of height. Sure didn't happen today.

Fatigue seems to have already been an issue. Is it possible to consistently play as hard as they do on early D for four qtrs, even w the heavy subbing? Do they need to be in even better shape?

offense was impressive and a lot of fun to watch, but kim better work on this defense or we are gonna struggle in the SEC.

The realistic goal for this team is and always was to just make the tournament. Beyond that is gravy

There are going to be rough patches playing this style when half the team was recruited to play plod ball.

It’ll be better when there’s a top 2 recruiting class + more transfers built to actually run the system

I’m here after today’s performance. Just keep the tourney streak going and bring on next years recruiting class and transfers.
