Don't think Kellie will start Franklin this game nor should she. Key needs to give us a good game and up to 25 minutes. Question is who guards Kitley when Key is out. Franklin will be physical with Kitley and try to push her off the block but Kitley has range and with Franklin neing only 6'1 with not much vertical now, Kitley may just shoot over her. Hollingshead has all the tools but lacks experience. Even so JH be a better option than Franklin. I love the ienergy, physicality, and passing Franklin adds but this may nor be a game she gets big minutes. Last year Franklin put up 21 pts, 12 boards against VT but this is not last year. Our next game is Chattanooga, our starters can rest while our subs play more. For this game, play our starters, which definitely includes Franklin, however much it takes, to win this game.
What I meant, and maybe wasn’t clear, is that Franklin is starter caliber, whether or not she comes on the floor at the very beginning of the game. She can play with Key, or in place of Key. The point is that starter caliber players need to be playing this game, rather than many subs, and I believe that’s what we’ll see.Don't think Kellie will start Franklin this game nor should she. Va tech has more than one big. And watch them vs neb kitley better. And ot watch more than neb game but mud game report do not guards lightly. Tv said va tech got two out of the portal to. Australia girl from i come from a land down under just got va tect first triple double. This and stanford only non sec top 10 before sec games start. Tenn needs to lock in and get this one.Kitley is so good offensively. Hopefully Key with her size, Franklin with her physicality and effort, and Hollingshead with her size and athleticism; can team up to contain Kitley. We have to keep her off the foul line though. Not sure which of the 3 will fare the best against Kitley as each one has pros and cons but I like all 3 taking turns to wear her out. On offense I would take it right at Kitley and make her defend and hopefully get her in foul trouble.
Far as handling the ball might be a good game to see powell 25 to 30 mins. Have horton on stand by for some point guard duty. With one week off defence should be better . It for sure be good time to see key of 21 to 22 show up on defence key of 22 to 23 not there yet.I might be wrong but I see this game being all about us as opposed to what Va Tech does. If we play well off the wings, handle the ball in traffic and pass well, we should have a good outcome. We have better players and sooner or later, they will come together.

Kitley is better than last year so Key needs to have a game. Seems to me that on this Board we always want to say we have better talent and we tend to disrespect the talent of other teams.Better athleticism does not equate to better talent automaticall. I remember a poster on this board saying Ohio State was favored to beat us and that there was free money to be made by betting on Tennessee. Fact is Ohio State is extremely good. Same for VT. Let's show them some respect. They deserve it and we need to quit being so arrogant. That has not worked out too well for us so far this yearI might be wrong but I see this game being all about us as opposed to what Va Tech does. Gotcha. I agree on starters and Franklin getting most of the minutes That is if Franklin's knee is permitting her to contribute. In a game or two it looked like she had no business being on the floor. Play 8 or 9 this game and stop the revolving door until next game. What I meant, and maybe wasn’t clear, is that Franklin is starter caliber, whether or not she comes on the floor at the very beginning of the game. Kitley played 40 minutes last year against Key and managed 4 points and 9 rebounds. Tamari last year had 11 points, 5 blocks and 12 rebounds in that game. Tamari plays well against people her size. Boston has consistently had trouble against her. Lets hope Sundays game is Tamari getting back to her old ways.Kitley is so good offensively. Key has not played anyone her size. Kitley came into last year's game averaging similar numbers a year ago and was on every watch list there was. Tamari wins the battle down low on Sunday.I keep seeing people reference last year's matchup, but it really means nothing heading into this one. These are different teams, and both centers are very different players right now. Kitley has elevated her game and is easily playing the best ball of her career. Key, to put it politely, is not...
