Game was lost in the trenches.

This, simple as it is, is the most accurate analysis of the game.

It wasn’t refs. It wasn’t play-calling. It was the line of scrimmage, especially their OLine vs. our DLine.
I think we got out-schemed badly. The defensive plan to keep things in front and not pressure the QB played directly to Beck’s strengths and their OL shortcomings.

Mostly agree but UGA definitely got bailed out multiple times with questionable officiating.

Didn't execute on some critical plays and just plain stupid penalties. But, yes, UGA dominated the trenches and this is the main factor of the outcome of the game.

Well, we ended up being Beck’s “get well” game. The tradition continues. Really disappointed with the result. It makes that Arkansas no-show even more irritating because if the implications now with a SECOND loss.

The elite defense coordinators have figured out coach Josh's fast offense. The way to stop it is to send more people at the qb. Also, the TN player that dropped on the field because he was tired was embarrassing. You should be in shape this far into the season. Can't talk about Lane at Ole miss now. If the vols would put in a offensive scheme in the future it might help. This lining up, send the fastest receivers down the field and chunking the ball is not working anymore. Need to use everyone in the offensive unit. GA did. Did the vols use any tight ends? The fast offense has been figured out.
Kitzleman was our leading receiver in yards and 2nd in receptions. We definitely used the TE. Out of 20 completions,5 went to TE's and 4 to backs which means almost 50%. Beck completed only 5 more balls but had 180 more yards. Nico had 0 TD. Beck had 2. Huge difference in the triggerman. Nico will get better. Put ballers around him

You don’t believe the refs allowed questionable calls to extend drives for UGA? They can call 12 men but somehow miss a false start on the QB.
There were some awful calls against us, and I would have loved to see the game that would have been played had they made those calls. But I don't know that it would have changed the outcome.

Trenches on both sides were lost, yes. I was impressed with UGA because they obviously were well prepared for our dline and their offensive gameplan had our secondary bumping into each other. I saw nothing new on either side of the ball that fooled UGA in our plan. The UGA gameplan/execution won this game. Surely our staff knew the only way to win in Athens was to pressure their QB? Wondering why they could not do it with the tools available.

This right here. You can waste your time reading all the different opinions and analysis about why we lost, but the simple fact is we got beat at the line of scrimmage on both sides. End of story.

Outcome maybe not. But it would have been determined by the players.

Beck was getting the ball out quickly last night and that was the game plan. Against Ole Miss he held it and got sacked.
He got it out quickly, made some very good runs when he had to and made some very good accurate passes.
Also had ages to do it on most plays. No pressure all night

So an offensive line that has had issues much of the year and got obliterated vs ole miss, seems UGA staff made a plan and went up against a D line that has been very good all year and neutralized it,
And we couldn’t figure out a counter
