Doesnt Surprise me, I really thought that they would be in Berkeley. With all that Tech has went through, it does make sense to go there. I dont like Virginia Tech.....Never have....Never will, but my heart does go out to them. They will be America's Team this year.

very smooth move by ESPN. whoever said it was right. Gameday is SUPPOSED to go to the best matchup. But sometimes you have to reach out and support your fellow man. I applaud ESPN's choice. the only question i have is with a 12:00 game scheduled in Bburg, how many people are still going to be out there behind the booth at 11:45 when they are making their picks and what not?

From what I have heard Beamer gave it his blessing, and frankly, they deserve to have it if they want it.

It makes no sense to go there. If anything, they should have waited until they played at LSU the following week. Katrina victims vs mass murderer victims. ESPN could have played up that angle really well.
