GameDay is back

I beg to differ. This orange-clad war party will be hyped up enough, but it would be nice if a certain quarterback were to drop by the locker room and remind them of what it felt like to kick off a statement victory over the tidy bowl boys with an 80-yard touchdown strike to Joey Kent "on play number one."
“What did he do? All he did was score…” Now if we just need a worthy successor to John ward and the dark days are behind us.

I'm not sure we will ever find one.

The honest truth is that John was old enough to be of the generation of broadcasters who cut their proverbial eyeteeth on radio, where it is absolutely essential to be able to paint a vivid verbal picture of the action. Younger, television-only broadcasters typically don't have that ability and, on one level, it isn't really necessary, but they most definitely don't have the same mastery of the English language, let alone eloquence, as John or, for example, Vin Scully. Truthfully, I have heard only a handful of games that he broadcasted, but his predecessor, George Mooney, although not as colorful as John, was, in my opinion, even more polished professionally than the most legendary Voice of the Vols.

Can we all finally acknowledge that CJH or the University of Tennessee has nothing to do with the celebrity guest picker. That **** show is the sole provence of ESPN.

It’s been a long time since the Alabama Tennessee game had these details so I’m very unsurprised that Gameday is returning to Rocky Top.

Tony Vitello (as guest picker) would make the whole College GameDay Crew jealous with his Awesome Flamboyant VFL Personality!!!!!

Yes ESPN is responsible for choosing the Celebrity Guest Picker.

I had never heard of her either, I just didn't think she was good. Seemed like she didn't know anything about football and seems pretty unenthusiastic.
They should have gone with Johnny Knoxville. Even if he’s past his prime, he’s well known. Luke Combs was the week before so hard to go country singer again.
