Garth Brooks coming back

People still don't get that the Chris Gaines was a character that Garth was going to play in a movie but it ended up getting cancelled after all the back lash etc.. and failed tie in album.

Without the internet as it is today a lot of people thought he really had changed names and genres.

I don't know a single person that didn't know what he was up to.

I couldn't agree more. Feel like most of today's country is not country. No steel guitar. I do like Dirks and Gary Allan.

The ones I like today are Joe Nichols, Blake Shelton, and Darius Rucker. Joe Nichols is one of the most underrated artists out there.

The 80s and early 90s was THE era imo. Whitley, Reba, Hal Ketchum, Yokum, Alabama, Travis Tritt, Ky Headhunters, Shelton, Travis, and my personal favorite Garth

Garth Brooks imo is up there with the like of Cash, Nelson, Jones, and Jennings

Im very excited to hear about this. I saw him in concert in '96 at McNichols Arena in Denver. Best show I've ever seen.

"If you know what I'm thinkin'
you'll know that pop country really sucks.

We're losing all the outlaws
that had to stand their ground
and they're being replaced by these kids
from a manufactured town
And they don't have no idea
about sorrow and woe
'Cause they're all just too damn busy
kissin' a$$ on Music Row".

Dierks is even falling into the garbage list just like the rest of 'em today. It's awful. Thank God for Pandora Radio.

Country music is far from by thing but I grew up listening to Garth so I might would actually considering going to one of his shows.

My only concern would be that if I paid what tickets are probably going to cost to see him I (to be honest) wouldn't really care to hear all new stuff. I would really just want to hear the music I grew up listening to. I wouldn't be to disappointed to hear a few new songs but I would want the majority to be his old stuff. I fear it would be the other way around, mostly new with some old sprinkled in.

there's no way he doesn't go neck deep into the old stuff. It's not possible, and it's not how most concerts go. No one, especially one of the greatest entertainers in music history is going to come out and play a bunch of stuff no one knows.

I get irritated when artists play a lot of stuff from their new album and barely sprinkle in their old hits.

Garth Brooks tour tix start at $178 a piece

I wouldn't pay that to see the Beatles if they were reincarnated. Ridiculous

And I wouldn't be surprised if the first show sells out fast that he wouldn't add a couple of more shows.
