Gary Danielson and Urban Meyer to be married soon

The call on the Gaffney catch (or non-catch) and the personal fould call a few back were of such moment because they both came in the waning moments of the game and arguably changed the outcome.

But neither team can blame the officials in htis one. Florida, had it lost, could have complained about the illegal block call. Tennessee, having lost, is now complaining about the hands to the face against Leak.

But both calls were so far from the end of the game that all you can say is that they were a wash.

In the end, the better team won. Florida dominated in every aspect of the game. Rushing, passing, defense.

The better team definitely won, but I wouldn't exactly use the word "dominated".

Domininated?

I think everyone watching the game thought UT was going to go down and score when Ainge threw that interception.

The game wasn't decided to the final minutes. I wouldn't call it domination.

If you woke up this morning and looked at the box score -- except for the point totals -- you'd have thought Florida won this game 35 to 10.

I think Florida should feel lucky UT lost their best defensive lineman and their best cover corner the week before the game.

"Lucky" is not the right word for that or how we feel after last night. As to the injury problems, I said all last week right here that I would have preffered that you be at full strength because I'd like to beat you at your best.

As to the outcome of the game, I think it is more a sense of relief. We came away with a one point win and these were the critical numbers (in most games, anyway):

UF UT
1st downs 21 14
Total yards 338 224
Rushing 139 2
Turnovers 1 2

As I watched that game last night I just kept shaking my head because you guys led from the second and well into the fourth quarter despite these numbers. It was VERY frustrating to feel like the Gators were better, but managing to lose.

In fact, I was thinking to myself that I was going to end up coming on here and congratulating the crowd at Neyland as much as the UT team because it just was weird that we were behind so much of the game.

When Florida pulled it out, it felt like "Whew, we almost let one we ought to have won slip away."

Except I didn't wake up this morning and see the paper . . . I was at the game, and I know that other than the Florida d-line, there really wasn't anything really dominating about Florida.

True, Florida moved the ball well between the 25 yard lines, but our defense made plays when it needed to.

I do agree with you though that Florida is better.

Lundquist is out of it. Something would happen, and he wouldn't catch on until about 5 seconds later.

We didn't win and you will not win the SEC because I saw LSU and Auburn game. That is where the power is this year.

Other than commentators CBS does a great job with football.

I had respect for Lundquist last night he irritated the hell out of me, Danielson is a joke. He is without doubt College Footballs answer to Joe Theisman.

I am looking forward to Florida's matchups with LSU and Auburn. While I don't think I'd pick the Gators to win, they should definitely be great games.

If you don't like the announcers, try this... I hooked my stereo to the tv box to enhance the sound. I muted the sound on the tv set and let the stereo carry the audio. When I realized the announcers was like listening to the braying of a matched pair of jackasses, I changed the auxilary setting on the stereo to "karaoke" and voila...Crowd noise, whistles, stadium announcers but NO Lundquist and Danielson. It was almost like watching it live. If we could have won it would have been perfect.

I've found that the radio is a little bit ahead of the TV though... last night our Dish for whatever reason decided to not work, so I went in the other room and had to listen to the game for a few minutes. When I heard the TV come back on, the play was in progress on the radio and when I got to the TV they'd just snapped it.

After listening to the game on CBS I have decided to turn the sound off and listen to Vol network from now on. I have very seldom seen commentators more biased towards one team. If I didnt know better I wouldve thought it was NBC covering an Irish game. Im not one to normally say much about things like this but it was obnoxious in this game. That Danielson guy sounded like some idiot they picked up off the street and sat in the booth.

I will never listen to CBS announcers again.

I ended up watching the game in complete silence. I turned the volume down in the first quarter. I hate it when CBS has the game. The only thing that might be worse was listening to Bob Davie last year... CLOWSEN?
