Gator Fans- don't act like you care about basketball

wow. The O'Dome looks like a fun place to catch a ballgame. Never been there but I really thought as small as the venue is compared to other schools, they'd have sell outs often. Don't that place set around 12,000 or so?

pretty much. done enough at UF to keep him there, and seemingly done enough to dissuade others from trying to hire him from that job

Wait TO...I think you saying that wrong. He did just enough to stay at UF; but he hasn't done enough for anyone else to be interested in him. He kinda now in a Phil Fulmer type role.

Tennessee owns Billy D....ab-so-lute-ly own him!!! That hair starts falling out every time he sees the orange

Don't you remember him taking the Orlando Magic job and then quitting so fast that it made Petrino's coaching stint in Atlanta look good by comparison?

(like he took the job and quit 4 days later?)

I think Billy D is a pretty good coach and I bet a lot of schools would love to have him.

Billy D can coach and he has his own distinct system. outside of the Horford/Noah era Donovan uses shooters at the 4 spot which has been a staple of Duke Bball for years... I think Coach K would be ecstatic to have him serve as his successor whenever he does decide to step down. JMO

Not really, I just think it's funny to see you guys crow about the great Billy D, and not even show up for games.

I must have missed all the threads here started by "us guys" crowing about the great Billy Donovan.

Perhaps you can point me in the right direction with a link or two.

Your use of hyperbole is noted.

Sounds like you're mixing Donovan up with Stallings. Donovan's had offers from big-time programs like UK.

He's had more Elite Eights in the past two seasons than your program has had in its entire history. Get over it.

i personnally think this is what makes what donovan has accomplished all the more amazing.

can't think of another program anywhere near as successful where people don't give a damn

Miami football was kind of like that back in the 80s.

Florida State football doesn't pack them in.

Actually Florida football has an odd fan base as well. You have to be undefeated to keep their interest. They are 11-1 this year and only sold half their ticket allotment to the Sugar Bowl? That is a tuff crowd!

Maybe it is a warm weather Florida thing?

Seeing as how UF has never finished a season undefeated, I respectfully disagree with your opinion of our fan base.

Why pay $180 for a ticket through the athletic department for what appears to be another overmatched Big East opponent for UF in the Sugar Bowl? (see also Cincinnati 3 years ago).

Tickets are much cheaper on StubHub, and they'll be cheaper outside the stadium as kickoff approaches.

Huh....well as much as it kills me to say.....good answer Larry. That does make sense.
