I thought Mullen was the new "Butch Jones" of the SEC? I thought he wasn't any good because he never "won the SEC" at MSt?

Nahh. Saban will take it easy on us. Bama will be up 45-0 by the 2nd half. At which point, he'll throw his 2nd and 3rd stringers into the game.

I predict something like a 59-0 kind of score.

The only way we could've gotten a big name like Mullen to come to Tn was to open the pocketbook and let them choose the price and buyout. Like what TaM did.

Our cheapo AD would never do that though.

Remember about 10 months ago when so many of you trashed the idea of Dan Mullen being considered to coach in Knoxville? I advocated for him and tried to convince everyone he would be a homerun hire and some agreed, but most said ridiculous nonsense like “he’s not a big time coach”, or my favorite “he never won the SEC, hasn’t done anything at Miss St”. I actually think there were more people who wanted Kiffin than Dan Mullen, which really blows my mind even by VN standards.

Well all Dan Mullen has done since those posts 10 months ago is go 5-1 and upset the #5 team in the country. They will jump again after this week from the #22 ranking to somewhere in the teens. And most of you said he had roster issues at Florida similar to ours. And he’s just getting started, just wait until he’s able to put together a roster full of his guys. It will be Dan Mullen, not Kirby Smart on top of the East. Pruitt is going to have to recruit out of his mind to just to try to keep up.
