FL will bounce back and win 8 this year.

They better when pulling in an avg recruiting ranking of 3 over last 8 years.

This team has no excuse for losing any game with the talent they put on field. I do understand last year's injuries but 4 wins????

I can't see Muschamp surviving without winning 8 games. Maybe if he upsets FSU or Bama but who believes that is going to happen? I think his contract runs through 2016. If he doesn't get an extension after this season, he's done.

Florida is a better football team than most folks give them credit. Will Muschamp is a good coach and will win a lot of football games if the fan base will shut their ignorant mouths. The vast majority of them don't know football and embarrass themselves everytime they open their pie hole.

This applies to Vol fans, too.

I agree with this. Last year was a disaster but his team was destroyed by injuries. I think Muschamp is an excellent coach.

That's kinda like what I was saying.

Yep. I still shake my head at all the threads/posts I read about how Alabama fans were praising that we got Dooley, that LSU fans were "scared", that UGA fans were already wanting to woo him to replace Richt.......

I think the whole thing depends on your new OC and whether or not he can get the players he has on the team right now to implement the new offense.

One lesson he didn't learn from Dooley. You never make serious changes to your offense or defense in the same year you happen to be on the hot seat.

It is wrong.

Anyone suggesting UF 's offense should stay the course because Muschamp is on the hot seat hasn't watched UF's offense the past three seasons.

Has your offense been seriously degraded because of ineptitude or because of injuries? It's not like you didn't go 11-2 the previous year.

This seems wrong.

Not in the least. I'd prefer Muschamp stick around myself as was stated before.

And I'd like to beat them on our own merits as opposed to saying "half their team was injured."

We went 11-2 in 2012 because of a national championship caliber defense.

Our offense has been ranked no higher than 98th nationally since Muschamp was hired.

Still had to put points on the board somehow...

I still say if he gets fired it will be mid season depending on that stretch I pointed out before. If he drops those four games, he's almost certainly gone before the UGA game. Or maybe even three of the four depending on situation. If you all come into Neyland and get blown out and get trounced by LSU the following week, I'd say the AD will start looking for heads to roll.

We HAVEN'T put points on the board. That's why Muschamp was forced to overhaul the offense, can Pease and bring in Roper.

If UF isn't good enough to beat a UT squad with spotty QB play and all kinds of question marks in the trenches, we're staring at a 5-7 season and Muschamp is gone.

I think it's a matter of when during the season it happens. If you go 5-7 at what point during the slide does he leave? Or do you think the AD will leave him in place until the season is over?

Tough to say.

Foley fired Zook mid-season to get a jump start on Urban Meyer, before Notre Dame.

I don't see any Meyer/Spurrier type candidates out there...at a smaller program, ready to step up to big boy ball.

Unless that changes, chances are Muschamp finishes the season.

They've got the money to pull in plenty of coaches. Tim DeRuyter could be swayed by the proper salary incentives and has proven himself to be a good coach.

But I'd prefer you got someone inept myself lol

Pease sux for sure. Muschamp should have called his pals in Waco before making that hire. the answer would have been think Greg Davis.
