Gators Starting CB

Who thinks CUM will conveniently give him a two game suspension (against cupcakes) and he will be available for UT?

It's unfortunate. I just pray he gets his act together. The last thing anyone wants to see if a kid throw his life away with crap like this.

From what I am reading at Gatorcountry Insider, he was defending himself from 4 guys trying to rob him. If this is the case (and yes, he is extremely stupid for running away from the cops) then you can't blame him. I'm sure if it was one of your players, you wouldn't be so quick to pass judgment. I can't speak for all Gator fans, but I don't applaud when any players gets arrested.

If Jenkins was tasered this sounds like a serious incident to me? Could face jail time?
No, the cop came and told them to stop fighting. He punched a guy still trying to take his chain (necklace) and he got tazed. We'll see what happens, I could be wrong.

Not passing judgment. Just saying it sounds serious from the report. Why would the cops taser him if he was the victim? It justs sounds like UF fans making excuses?

I don't know if I like him being tazed if that was really the situation. Seems unnecessary. Cops are so quick to taze or spray these days.

Could be, or could be that cops are Taze-happy. He'll probably miss the first 2 games as another poster pointed out.

The whole nation toasts anytime anything goes wrong on rocky top. So forgive me if trouble in florida brings a smile to my face. Or anywhere else for that matter. I hope everything works out for him but i wont shed a tear if he doesnt play against us. Anything that causes CUM problems makes my day better.

Of course if jenkins was the victim of an attempted robbery, he should not have been tasered, but I seriously doubt the cops messed up that bad - tasered the victum.

Or just another case of police brutality.

A lot of them (and not all police as a whole, but a lot of them) have itchy trigger fingers, at least on their non-lethal weapons like their tazers, mace, and billy clubs (which I guess are lethal if you continue to use them long enough).

I know there are cops who are great at what they do, and actually try to do their job ie protect and serve. But there are a lot who are just on a power trip.

Not taking up for the Florida CB or anything, just saying we have almost zero facts in the case.

Don't worry, Low still thinks smoke machines are more newsworthy than arrests of student athletes, as this won't make his blog.

As a UF fan, are you ok with, if this story turns out to be true and Jenkins is guilty, CUM merely giving him a 2 game suspension and allowing him to play the first meaningful game on the schedule. Sounds a little like what CPF was charged with, and CLK has tried to improve. :eek:hmy:

from the report: the cops roll up to a fight, tell everyone to stop yet one of the participants proceeds to punch another in the head. What situation would you deem a taser necessary?

The Fulmer cup should be renamed. CPF is gone and CUM is outpacing Fulmer's offseason standards anyways.

All those posters of CLK in their locker room must be driving these Gators mad. :dance2:

Whats so brutal about getting sprayed with pepper spray or tased? Its not like he beat him repeatedly with the butt end of his pistol or ASP. Doesnt make it right, but doesnt make it brutal either.

Florida now #5 in Fulmer Cup.

It's the trend that counts. CUM is accelerating up the charts rapidly.

Look at the bright side, Gator fans.

At least Tebow will be be able to visit his former teammates on his prison missionary visits. That should make a heartwarming story for the CBS opener.
