The premise behind I Am Legend.

I am cynical a true cancer cure will ever make it to market. Too many rely on the curse for their livelihood.

Money is the root of all evil. Took me to this age in my life to realize it. And yet I dont hate money or even if one accumulates. There is sinister manipulalation

There is likely already a "cure" for the "most" cancers.

Low carbohydrate diet

Let's be clear, I said "most". Obviously, there are other hereditary and environmental factors that play a part in a lot of these cancers also.

Are you talking "prevention" or cure? I have a friend with a rare, inoperable type of cancer that has many tumors (including on his kidneys).

I assume he can't just cut out bread to beat this

I'm not nearly as cynical as this. Cancer isn't one thing. There likely can never be "a" cure since it isn't one situation.

We've actually made incredible progress at effectively curing some types of cancers in some conditions.

If it cost 2 billion to develop and bring it to market what should they charge for it?
I also wonder what the current cancer treatments run? If this is a one time cure I would think it has to be cheaper than multiple rounds of chemo, surgery, treatment etc.

It cost 30k for my ACL/megniscus surgery back in 2006. 67k sounds like a steal if it's as advertised.

Yep. Successful cancer treatment reduces total costs for the patient. It's why insurers take on these new treatments - they tend to be net cost reducers in addition to improving patient outcomes. A true win-win.

I think it was the Hep-C cure that came out that people freaked out about the cost but several treatments cured it; not possible before, and reduced the total cost to treat Hep-C AND improved patient's QoL.

I'd say whatever it takes to recoup their development costs in the first 3 years on the market.
The most expensive drug for medicare is Eliquis at over $7 Billion a year. From what I've read, it cost $3 Billion to develop. Do you think they should recover more than double in one year than it cost to develop? I don't.
ETA: And this is just for medicare recipients, not the rest of the country and world.

G*dd^mn, did you read WTF I posted? I clearly went out of my ******* way to say "not all". WTF...
Didn't you read what I posted? I asked you to clarify prevent or cure.

So "most" people that get diagnosed can be cured by taking the buns off their Whopper. Dr. Rasputin, you might want to share that info with the whole wide world

In fairness, have you been to a BK Lounge recently? The bun is the best part.
