Best way to kill that is to require that all wannabe and current politicians have to produce and substantiate their own records and accomplishments ... the proverbial "you show me yours, and I'll show you mine". After all if lying about your gender or ethnicity is acceptable these days, then why is it wrong to believe you worked where you didn't, have educational achievements you don't, etc. If one lie is OK because you believe it, then why not another? Who is keeping score, and who is decreeing which lies are acceptable and which aren't. The guy may be a POS, but the "voters have spoken" ... that was an obama era justification.
