It's a page straight out of the Donald Trump / Rudy Giuliani playbook. Tease the story now, and the tease itself becomes the story and whether or not you ever follow through with your promise of evidence becomes irrelevant over time. Case in point: Donald Trump on Barack Obama's place of birth during the height of birtherism in 2011:He seems to think so, doesn't he?
I'll reserve judgment until we see what this is all about in the coming lawsuit. Odd he can say it happened and has reports, but will not discuss it because a lawsuit is coming. Why say that now? Why characterize it as he did but then give excuse not to provide any detail? Goes to media and says "I know bad things but will tell you none of it."
"I have people that actually have been studying it and they cannot believe what they're finding." - Donald Trump, speaking to Meredith Vieira of The Today Show, on his investigation into Barack Obama's place of birth. Trump would also say that he would be holding a press conference in a few weeks to announce the results of his investigation and disclose his proof that Barack Obama was not born in the United States. No such press conference was ever held, and no such proof was ever provided. It was all a big tease, with no payoff. Rudy Giuliani does this sort of thing all the time. Now, it looks like Alan Dershowitz has joined in.
