Georgetown will lose to OHIO this weekend...

While I like that you're making this pick & giving Ohio U, which happens to be my alma mater, some props, I'm not sure if I see it happening. I could, though. You never know. I'd love it too, for recruitings sake.

I mean, who doesn't want to be the next Gonzaga mid-major program to build some consistent steam?!

-Best case is a win, obviously.
-Next best is a close loss, maybe a dramatic 1st rd buzzer beater...something to get "talked about"! The more talk, the more potential players hear about your university. And, with that ******* university in Columbus hogging all the press, OU needs a little press! Hell, >20k students go there!
-Worst case is a really bad loss that shows nothing to potential players.

Go Bobcats! GBO!

and trash all of our brackets...
Ohio has guards who are quick enough the give the Hoyas big problems. (Think DAVIDSON)
Bassett has NCAA tournament experience with his 21 points against San Diego State while starter for Indiana three years ago. Bassett can carry a team like Ohio. DJ his backcourt mate in top 10 in nation in assist and steals. Tommy Freeman shoots 50% from behind the arc. Bobcats will push the ball up and down the court and try to get the Hoyas to bite. This gets the Bobcats transistion buckets and better looks. Bobcats frontline is small, but very athletic they will run the full court. Wouldn't be surprised to Ohio press Georgetown to get them out of half court where Hoyas hold the avantage.

Im not even worried about SD ST. The experts dont even believe it themsleves...

UT/OHIO for the chance at Sweet 16!:rock::rock:
I'll drink to that,:birgits_giggle: oh I forgot I quit.

He's a quick release. Otherwise, he's a weak NBA player athletically.

I don't think 6 assists, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals per game is weak athletically. He's below average definitely, but not horrible. And most of those stats, including points, have been improving throughout the season.

Name the 1s and 2s in the league less athletic.

The stats are an artificial product of Nelson's system. I don't see him putting up those types of numbers for a team that actually plays defense instead of just playing transition ball the entire game.

Kenneth Van Kempen and Devaughn Washington. While we have limited options in the post offense, OUr post defense is pretty good... KVK gave Tulsa's future NBA draft choice Jerome Jordan absolute fits earlier this year, holding him to his 2nd lowest scoring total this year (8 points). Plus, Washington and Bassett can get opposing centers in trouble at the snap of a finger... We just gotta hope Washington and KVK stay out of trouble themselves...

Actually, we'll probably have Devo on Monroe, and as long as he doesn't commit cheap fouls, Devon is a great defender. 6'9, long, quick, athletic, can jump out of the gym.

The tougher task will be keeping him off the boards as OUr rebounding can be weak at times.

No offense to you or Jerome Jordan, but when Monroe comes to play, he is unstoppable. Now the question is will he come to play. But he can still be tough to guard any day.

Jordan had an awful season relative to expectations. Too soft and wants to be a shooter. He isn't Greg Monroe, or anything remotely close.
