Georgia’s best

It's a myth bro. Read my previous post, I summarized it for you. If you don't want to take my word for it, watch the 2nd half again for yourself.
They literally threw the ball 4x in the 2nd half. Bennett was 15-21 in the 1st half and 2-4 in the 2nd. They ran 11x out of 14 plays on the 8+ min drive because there was no reason to throw it. The game was decided at that point and that drive cemented it.

Yes, but that doesn't mean they weren't trying to move they ball. They had 5 drives:

Drive 1 - 9 minutes. Heavy run, but they also connected on 23 yard pass in that drive. When we needed to stiffen up to force a FG, we did.
Drive 2 - Fumble on first play.
Drive 3 - 3 & out. Good defense and a penalty put them behind the sticks. They chose to run on 3rd & 21 rather than risk a deep pass (this the only conservative call of the game, IMO)
Drive 4 - 3 & out. They missed on a 40-yard bomb.
Drive 5 - they ran out the clock

I don't have a problem with anyone saying they ran the ball more. Obviously they did. But the "if they ain't passing they ain't trying" mentality is silly and I disagree with anyone who says they could have easily scored more if they wanted to. Their offense didn't dominate our defense in either half. We gave them 7 possessions in the first half and they scored on 3 of them. That's good for them, but hardly dominant. Bennett made a couple of perfect throws and escaped a sack on 3rd and long that resulted in 14 points. Credit to him for that. The other touchdown came after the 75 yard punt eventually gave them an extremely short field and Slaughter got torched on a double-move. Again, nice play, but besides that - we forced two punts, a fumble, and a FG in the first half.... so for people to say they could have easily scored more if they wouldn't have ran the ball as much, I just disagree.

Our defense played pretty well and definitely well enough to win. There were two plays where I felt like we got out of position: The play where Slaughter got torched and the wheel route to McIntosh for 49 yards. We had Banks AND McCullough covering McIntosh on that play but McCullough got way out of position and allowed McIntosh to run right by him.

They outplayed us for sure but I didn't see anything to conclude that they can't be beaten. If we get another shot on a neutral field I think it will be a much different game.

They scored on 4 of them. 3 TD’s and a FG. We have one of the 10 worst pass defenses in the country and a top 10 rush defense yet they ran 90% of the 2nd half; the game was in the bag and anyone watching the game knew it. Run some clock, limit our possessions and let the defense do what they had done for the entirety of the 1st half; there was zero reason to risk an INT, stop the clock with potential incompletions or get Stetson hit/hurt. Our offense through 1 half made it apparent we weren’t scoring 18 period, let alone 18 unanswered to tie it.

You keep saying there’s nothing there that says they can’t be beaten when nobody is arguing otherwise. On this particular Saturday we weren’t beating them because we couldn’t connect on a thing deep and we’re an explosive play, quick strike offense. When that’s not there we’re limited. They didn’t put up 24 in the half running on us, Bama didn’t put up 49 running on us, UF didn’t put up 33 running on us. Passing is how you beat us or hang with us. SB completed 72% of his passes for 200+ yards in a half, including being given a short field. If they had kept throwing they could’ve scored more. You’re not being objective if you think their change in play calling philosophy didn’t directly contribute to their lack of pts in the second half.

So you think Georgia quit trying to score at halftime. Ok. And if they hadn’t of ran as much then Stetson would have made a couple more perfect throws to put the ball in the end zone. Got it 👌

I think if you take the crowd out of it we don’t have 8 false starts and it’s a much, much different game. Hopefully we find out.

Respectfully I don’t buy this at all. Any coach who takes their foot off the gas against our offense is either dumb or inexperienced. Kirby Smart is neither. They put up 55 on Vandy, half of those were in the 2nd half, were they taking their foot off the gas then? If they could’ve scored more on us yesterday you’d better believe they would’ve.
That's completely not true at all in the stats back up the fact that Georgia put the brakes on completely and just focused on clock management the second half. They threw all of four or five passes the second half. Do you not think they could've scored more if they continue their passing attack that was unstoppable the first half? Not every team focuses on running up the score every game like Tennessee does. The game was well in hand as George was up three scores after halftime and they didn't need to do anything because Tennessee couldn't do anything on offense. There was no need to take the risk of interceptions or anything like that. It was just good coaching and clock management.

Of course Kirby wanted to score but he wasn’t in fear of losing if he didn’t and his play calling reflected that. What’s more likely to be an explosive, scoring play; a double move deep ball to Lad or a counter to Edwards? Which one has a chance to help the opponent climb back in a game if it’s not productive?

Couple of dropped passes could've been 14 points for us. Since we're living in the make believe land of candies and nuts where it's Christmas every day. There's no way Georgia took their foot off the gas against a dangerous offense like ours.

Sure bro.

Getting tired of seeing this BS. They had two turnovers, 3 three-and-outs, and were forced to kick 2 FGs. Its pretty dumb to think that they weren’t trying to move the ball when they called run plays on 3rd & short. A called run does not equate to not trying
Don't miss this one folks. It's gold...🏆

They could have beaten us by 30 if they wanted. The rain saved us from that. I do believe a neutral site it would be a better game, but GA is a very bad matchup for us. They may be the only team in the country with elite Corners and Secondary that can cover our receiver's. Obviously corners will get neat occasionally but Hooker was off yesterday on his deep passes. But let's not get it twisted, it could have been way worse if they had wanted too. Mother Nature helped keep it respectful..
More speculation. They scored what they could. And they wanted 50. But we didn't give it up.
They could have ran for 200 yards in the second half and scored 28 more points. But we stopped them with our defense. Not no damned rain. That is ridiculous... And pathetic.
They are bigger and better (currently). But don't give them what they didn't earn. 27-13 was it. See their asses next year in Neyland.

I agree it could have been worse, but as you indicate, Hooker was also off. We had them beat deep three times, he was off every time. Maybe if there is a rematch he hits.

The problem I had with the guy in the vid is that he said "uga ran the ball in the rain and dared the Vols to stop them. And they didn't.

But...DUH...they did. only 130 yards rushing in the entire game and 3 points in the second half. If that's not stopping the run, I don't know what is.

Now, it's true uga wasn't trying too hard to score in the second half, but they sure as hell didn't run the ball down our throat.
