I live in Dunwoody (yes, we know justin king), and the Georgia fans here are COMPLETELY unrealistic about the coming season. I know you guys know this, but I wanted to post this here so we can have some fun with 'em.

This high school dad sees my new orange hat and says "you from Tennessee eh?" -- And then proceeds to rip me up about our team "You got a coach yet?, Sign any players yet? You guys out on parole yet? NCCA probation is coming.. ha ha ha.."

I retort with "Does Richt have to win 8 games to save his job this year?" -- and he answers me with...

"Not a problem, we are going 13-0 this year. Last time we had a freshman running back and an experienced QB, you remember what happened then don't you? Well, it's gonna happen again, and YES i am serious. We have Cromwell. National Championship 2011!"

He forgot that they lost the whole OLine, and their first 2 running back. They are basing the whole season on a FRESHMAN (TRUE) running back.

As i walked away, I told him "Good Luck with that 13-0".

And I am going to RIP his a$$ every time i see him all year. This is exactly why i LOVE listening to the Georgia post game radio show when they lose.. ALL THE BANDWAGON FANS will be jumping OFF again.. I love hearing georgia fans CRY about their program...

HA HA HA.. 13-0 at Georgia, you gotta be sh*tting me.

anyway, just thought I would share, UGA fans are NOT ready for their 7-5 season that is about to happen, let's be sure and remind them every week they lose.
OVER AND OVER AND OVER.

"HOW 'BOUT 'DEM 'DAWGS??" ha ha ha

They're completely off-base for saying 13-0 and NC, but I can't say you're exactly on it for saying 7-5. They've got a good shot to steal the East thanks to the favorable schedule that they've got and SC doesn't.

well hey, uga fans for some reason that i aint figured yet, hold their team i high esteem

they have this complex that should be defined

i hate uga

the only team i hate in the SEC and its cause of their fans

and the reason they suck so bad>>>it must be their elite>>>>no other logical reason for their under achievement

I lived In the 'burbs in ATL and I never knew how bad it was 'til I did my time there. They literally expect and believe they will win a National Title EVERY pre-season. It's rather comical. Also, not so well known to folks who don't live in Atlanta... based on all my interaction with UGA fans... they seriously have UT as their most hated opponent now... not even kidding.... I would only dare say they hate GA Tech more! Auburn and USCjr would be fighting it out for third most hated by the pup fans!

But yes, I agree with the thread poster... Pup fans have very dillusional expectations. I think for them to get to 9 wins will be a struggle. Last time they were confident we de-railed their season on that glorious little trip to Neyland. In fact if I remember right... they crossed the 50 a whole one time in the first half two years ago! I would love to see a repeat of that!

Georgia this year, without a doubt is the most overrated, over hyped team I can remember in a long time!! I had no idea losing your top WR and basically your entire backfield was the formula for a national championship. I hate UGA, I hope Boise beats their azz!!

They have Oliver CROMWELL as their running back?!?!?!?

Isnt Malcome and Crowell their two main backs? I dont care how good they are, a true and redshirt freshman starting backfield in the SEC is pretty scary imo.

NICE. Oliver Cromwell - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

That's certainly an easy typo to make, let's put 30 seconds on the clock and see how many oliver cromwell jokes we can make.

According to Wikipedia, "he fervently believed God was guiding his victories." -- YEP, sounds like a Georgia team.

Also "Nicknamed 'Old Ironsides', he was quickly promoted from leading a single cavalry troop to command of the entire army" -- yep, sounds like it, the first and second string guys were arrested and kicked off the team, so he WAS quickly promoted. -- Also, we like the nickname 'old ironsides'. That's awesome

Also "Cromwell was elected as one of the Top 10 Britons of all time." -- Well isn't that like being Player of the year in the Big East?

"His measures against Catholics in Scotland and Ireland have been characterised as genocidal or near-genocidal" -- yep, he Killed 'em. But they weren't SEC linebackers.

Most over ranked team title belongs to Notre Dame. And it isnt even close.

Georgia hasn't been the same since they lost Stafford and moreno! Even then they couldn't make it to the sec championship game! The only reason Georgia fans are so optimistic about this season is because esp tells to be! You can't believe anything espn talks about anymore!

You guys must be talking to complete homers. The realistic UGA fans remind me a lot of us in 2006. They know they should be alright, but they're scared to death they are going to look up in mid Sept and be 0-2.

2011 and we're still thinking Georgia's going to make it to the SEC Championship. Cute.

Did my 3 years outside of Atlanta, and was so sick of hearing "Hunker down" I could have puked.

Bama - despised rival of the first degree...well, because they're bama and it's a tough game every year and like them or not, there's a certain bit of respect for each other when the third Sat comes around. (although the yella hammer is just dumb)

Gators - despised rival because they have been in our way since the SEC East started up. They're cocky as h..l, but until we get the upper hand, not much we can say.

Georgia - despised rival because their fans are obnoxious as****es that, even when they field a bad team, think they are God's gift to football. Nothin' like having 60 year old fans (men and women) throwing beer cans at your car and shooting you the bird (in Knoxville, no less...way to go grandma and grandpa...show the kids what class really is), or having some drunk fool try to pour what's left of his vodka and coke on you after their beloved dawgs got chewed up in Ktown again.

I have a special dislike for the dawgs, and it's not based on their being all that impressive year in and year out.

Georgia lost their only offensive weapon in AJ Green. They also lost their top two RBs. Murray has no go to guy on offense. They lost most of their OL.

They couldn't score points without AJ Green last year, see Colorado. They only put up like 3 to UCF with Green.

They are in the 2nd year of the 3-4 system.

What does all of this mean? Mark Richt will get fired this year.
