Richt himself is not going anywhere this offseason. But he's almost certainly going to have to throw Willie Martinez overboard, Randy Sanders-style. He has about used up his capital.
He had better not lose to Tech this year, that's for sure. I still don't think it would cost him his job this year, but it would IMO put into play the very real possibility that 2010 might be his last in Athens.
Yeah I think Richt has earned one losing season before he gets canned. But if the ship isn't righted the following year he gets the boot.
lol Gruden to ND with his mouth? lol i think he cusses to much for the Irish. i don't see gruden in college i dont' think he can relate to college kids, i think he would lose them. he has a tendency to break down pro athletes and lose them. college kids would get sick of the non-stop screaming i think
Mark Richt (SEC) (2001present)
2001 Georgia 8-4
2002 Georgia 13-1
2003 Georgia 11-3
2004 Georgia 10-2
2005 Georgia 10-3
2006 Georgia 9-4
2007 Georgia 11-2
2008 Georgia 10-3
Mark Richt: 82-22
Total: 82-22
He's not going to be replaced anytime soon, with those numbers. Hasn't had a losing season yet.
Dooley was actually forced out a couple of years ago. The AD there now - Damon Evans - is a former player, but is more in the Mike Hamilton mold. Evans isn't going to have a knee jerk reaction.Has Richt ever had a losing season? I think it will take at least one before Dooley would consider replacing him.
