Georgia Fans Want Gruden

It would have been 3rd and 12... well out of field goal range... take the points or a high risk play. I think Fisher made the correct call. Moot point really since the Titans got drilled..

He needs better assistants.

What's the point of making the game 7-6 when you're playing Peyton Manning though? Did Fisher really think field goals were going to win the game? It seems so seeing as they finished with 9 points. I think Fisher needs a new brain. Lane Kiffin goes for it on 4th down on his own 30. He went for it on 4th down in a Natonal Championship game. Jeff Fisher doesn't even believe in his team on 3rd down. It's kind of sad. :(

like i told someone

If God told a college football joke, the University of Georgia would be the punchline, because they always think they are so good, but they are irrelevent in the grand scheme of things

No doubt that we are missing Schwartz, but really do you think Fisher is going anywhere?? Lord no. I dont care if the Titans do not win a game and Climer is writing for his head everyday in the Tennessean. None of these other coaches you are anyone else has mentioned is going to do a better job, IN NASHVILLE, as Coach Fisher has done. This team has looked worse than any team I have ever seen, but still I do not see Fisher going anywhere.
Titans love him, Nashville loves him.

Denver loved Shanahan. Knoxville loved Fulmer. I don't know why you believe another coach couldn't do better in Nashville. Not sure what that has to do with anything. Buffalo, Tampa Bay, Kansas City, Denver, Green Bay... all successful at times and their is nothing special about those places other than the fans. Nashville has the fan support. Guden could do better than Fisher. He has done better than Fisher. Only lost to the Patriots because of the tuck rule and then beat his former team in the Super Bowl with the Bucs. Bucs are horrible without him now. They thought 7-9 was bad but now they can't even win a game. He was winning with virtually no talent. Titans are one of the most talented teams in the NFL and Fisher was knocked out in the first round last year. Winless this year. We will see but I won't be surprised if Fisher is fired. Bud Adam's wants to win.

all this talk about the direction UGA is heading has got me wondering, was it really that dumb for Kiffin to promise Ws in the future against them?

I don't know if I will watch them next year if Fisher is still coach. Declining the penalty and taking a 4th down field goal instead of another 3rd down was the most pathetic thing I've ever seen.

I think this team is screwed next year unless they get a new defensive coordinator. Cecil is the worst.

If anything, I wouldn't hold your breath on drafting a quarterback. It's going to be a weak class barring a bunch of juniors coming out. If they take Colt McCoy I might throw up on myself a little bit. He is a glorified Tony Romo.

Bud Adam's can't justify keeping Jeff Fisher around when Super Bowl winning coaches have gotten the booth. Shanahan has won two times as many championships and the Bronco's didn't hesitate to show him the door. Look at them now.... undefeated. I like Jeff Fisher but his time is up.

At least we'll get to see what Vince Young can do the rest of the season. Kerry Collins gives the team the best chance to win but this season is over. Might as well let Vince Young show what he can do after taking a back seat.

Cue the quote from Billy Madison

I agree.. no

georgia is on the way down... just let them go down without giving them a reason to live

The Peyton Manning factor made it a moot point. But... that being said.. the 4th down going for it is a hero or goat decision. If he goes for it and doesn't make it.. he's a goat.. and that very same Peyton Manning gets the ball again. I understand you don't like Fisher.. that's fine, but the Titans lost a lot of talent from last year, and as (I think) Vegasvol said, the are getting old. Maybe rebuilding is the new Tennessee Tradition for awhile..

Fisher has been thru alot with this team. I have followed this team since Memphis and have been a fan since they came to Nashville. Bud Adams loves Fisher and he is not going anywhere for this year.

Of course, Bud wants to win. We all want to win.

There may be some juniors coming out. This is the last draft class before the restructuring of the salary cap. I think (HOPE) they are going to have a salary structure for rookies. Giving unproven rookies boat loads of money is one of my biggest gripes with the NFL. VY is a perfect example.

We need to pick up a qb. I don't know of anyone who thinks VY will be back. Collins is ok, but he is short term. We need to get the future qb on the roster. I hope it is not Tebow.

I think VY may get the call after the bye week. I don't like the guy, but maybe that will at least shut up all of the callers on local radio calling for him to start every day.

I just read the AJC article about Georgia's decline. One fan responded that "this season is an aberration". I think I heard that from some other coach in 2005.

Give Les a few more big games in Red Stick and you will see similar signs of decline. UT is positioning themselves to fill the vacuum quite nicely...I think...

Exactly.. Tennessee and Alabama will replace LSU and Georgia.. Alabama's will finish off LSU this year and we will finish of UGA next year

UGA is a few years away from a coaching change IMO. It will take more than a couple 9-3 or 8-4 seasons which I don't believe they will do any wores than that. Now if they pull a Fulmer he could be done at the end of the year.

This will be interesting to watch. Who is more on the hot seat right now, Richt or his coordinators?

Miami will also slow the UF train.
