Georgia @ Kentucky

Kept waiting for that one big play to go UK's way and it never came. UGA converted on some tough 3rd downs and I'm not sure how we missed on multiple int chances/fumbles by UGA. Just some insanely unlucky moments for UK.

UGA just had a bad game. They have done this multiple times against mid teams. I honestly think Kirby does this on purpose to keep his teams motivated. Watch, they’ll turn it on full gear when they play a ranked team.
I was thinking the same thing. UT will face a totally different UGA team in Athens.

Don't want to jinx them, but Kentucky is up 3 - 0 against UGa with 7:00 left until the half.
Ga cost me 500 dollars last night, couldn’t even cover against a Kentucky team that got embarrassed against UsCjr. I hope we skull drag Georgia. It looks like if we can stop their run game, and get a little pressure Georgia doesn’t have the receivers or TEs they had in the past.

I was in the stadium and they didn't show a single replay of the pick 6 that was overturned. I went back and watched it expecting it to be really obvious that it hit the ground...but it wasn't. Horrible call. Stole 7 points.

It seems sometimes we as fan think the game is like a computer....enter the data and the outcome must be determined by the data entered. I have found most sports simply aren't that way. Each game has its own life (granted...the favored team generally wins). IMO that's why a team that struggled against SCarolina can line up and give Georgia all they want (and maybe should have won the game). Its always interesting to me. CLEARLY ....FSU has better talent (much better) than all three teams they've lost to this year. So why is FSU sitting at 0-3? That's what makes sport fun one reason I've never placed a bet for .05 on a game.

He's got probably the only roster in the country that is talented/deep enough to turn if on and off depending on the situation. I certainly don't think they intended to beat UK by a point, but I also wonder if he and his staff don't bring intensity during those weeks and his players pick up on that. Almost as quasi-load management kind of thing.

It is a long season and has gotten longer with the 4-team and now 12-team playoff. UGA also has the accumulated effect of having played those games the last few years. They played 15 games in 2021 and 2022 and played 14 games last year. That's 8 games more than a team that didn't make the postseason at all over that same timeframe, or 5 more than a team that played 1 postseason game.

This is a generous take, and it’s at least partially right. UGA was down to Auburn last year in the 4th quarter, and this game isn’t all that different.

The OL played poorly, with several busts. Beck, probably as a result, was seeing ghosts when he had time. Add in some important dudes missing on the DL and a run-heavy scheme from UK, and you have a recipe for a close game.

Credit goes to UK, too. Things got wonky for them against South Carolina and they got out of their game plan—but they are better than they looked against South Carolina. The OL isn’t great, but the front 7 is solid and their NB #11 played a great game.

Kirby is a pig in slop with this result. He’s thrilled with a drop in the rankings and some error-filled film.

But scoreboards don’t lie. UGA needs to show more. We’ll learn a lot in 2 weeks in Tuscaloosa.

I’m sure y’all will take it to Alabama. Kirby probably has had that game circled.

Some key players for UGA got banged up including Beck and Etienne. Nothing very serious but nagging injuries do play a role. One of their best OL will miss a few games.

I only watch a few minutes of the second half. Kirby was losing his sh-t on the sidelines. As his gigantic talent advantage shrinks I think we will see the "real" Kirby soon.
