Georgia @ Ole Miss noon Espn

If not for a miracle last week, UGA's SEC East chances would be up in smoke right now.

Pretty much. Would have been better for them to already be 2 games down in the SEC.

But when you said "miracle" I think you meant "Missouri being typical Missouri."

...how does VT look good?

Let's see,

They are 5th best defense in the country per ESPN
38-0 right now on east Carolina
49-0 against Boston College last week

I don't care who you are, but going on 2 straight games of shutouts and putting up those kinds of points tells me they are a decent football team

I don't know how any one didn't see this coming. OM is playing a lot like Tennessee last season hell out the gate but commit costly errors late.

That tells me Tennessee can play a hell of a lot better too

So where's all the talk that Kirby was going to make one hell of a coach in the SEC?

I think he's more than serviceable but as far a national champion hc is doubtful. I just don't see him being a Saban mentality guy with the way the first 3 have gone

45-0 Ole Miss

Eason 9-25-97 1 Int.

Take Chubb out of the game early and the Dawgs are a mess.

Well Georgia, that dawg won't hunt. Still waiting for someone in the SEC-E to look legit.

I don't know, VT looks good and so does Miami and UNC

I can give Miami some benefit of the doubt at this point because they're 3-0, but those wins are coming against an FCS team and teams like FAU and Appy St...they're winning by about the margins they should but I'm not sure it's enough to suggest that they're very good to great now.

UNC struggled with this same UGA team we're seeing play today...the one we're watching right now.

Atlantic.

GT and Pitt aren't bad either

GT might have blown out a bad Vandy team, but they struggled terribly against probably the worst team in the ACC in the opener and when they finally played a ranked team, it wasn't even a close game.

Pitt squeaked by a not-good Penn State and just lost to an also not terribly good Oklahoma State (granted they shouldn't have lost that CMU game because of the refs giving them an extra play, but still).

Duke's 1-2 and just lost by 2 scores to the Big Ten West's worst team - a Northwestern team that lost games to both Western Michigan and Illinois State.

UVA's 0-3 and even getting blown out by FCS teams and losing games to UCONN.
