Georgia @ Ole Miss noon Espn

Let's see,

They are 5th best defense in the country per ESPN
38-0 right now on east Carolina
49-0 against Boston College last week

I don't care who you are, but going on 2 straight games of shutouts and putting up those kinds of points tells me they are a decent football team

Ok, so they're good because they shut out the worst team in the conference and a CUSA team?

How did it do against an even decent team...with say an offense that has struggled terribly? (I get that it's 5th in yards allowed total in 3-4 games, but it's also around 46th in rushing yards allowed per game and 39th in points allowed per game...also a big part of the reason it's 38-0 against ECU were special teams: the Hokies returned a punt for a TD, returned a blocked punt for a TD, and returned a blocked kick for a TD...but that's beside any point)

I mean, overall, I just don't think at the end of the day you can say the Big Ten West is definitely, vastly worse than the ACC Coastal, or that there's a huge chasm between the two.

I think he's more than serviceable but as far a national champion hc is doubtful. I just don't see him being a Saban mentality guy with the way the first 3 have gone

Any team and fanbase might be shooting too high if their expectations for a new coach are "be Nick Saban."

I feel the guy's more the exception, not the norm.

I can give Miami some benefit of the doubt at this point because they're 3-0, but those wins are coming against an FCS team and teams like FAU and Appy St...they're winning by about the margins they should but I'm not sure it's enough to suggest that they're very good to great now.

UNC struggled with this same UGA team we're seeing play today...the one we're watching right now.

GT might have blown out a bad Vandy team, but they struggled terribly against probably the worst team in the ACC in the opener and when they finally played a ranked team, it wasn't even a close game.

Pitt squeaked by a not-good Penn State and just lost to an also not terribly good Oklahoma State (granted they shouldn't have lost that CMU game because of the refs giving them an extra play, but still).

Duke's 1-2 and just lost by 2 scores to the Big Ten West's worst team - a Northwestern team that lost games to both Western Michigan and Illinois State.

UVA's 0-3 and even getting blown out by FCS teams and losing games to UCONN.

If the Tar Heels could catch the game is totally different.
Georgia got a lot of home cooking that game too

I saw the uga had a 10 game win streak over old mississippi, wonder why the media did not have that plastered 10 million times last week.

Cause it's not an annual game. TN v FL settled who would win the East for years. Hopefully this year is no different
