I caught the tail end of a conversation on 790 am in Atlanta this morning and they were SPECULATING(!!!!) That Paul Johnson was on his way out at GT and that Pearl would be the #1 target for the jackets.... I know CBP has his detractors here but I'm not one of them. What say Ye, VN????

Maybe he's getting fired for the hurting my Hawkeyes put on him in the Orange Bowl?

No way BP leaves for any job he's a vol through and through. People need to stop the criticism unless you want to go back to what we had which was no program. Pearl rebuilt the program and has made it relevant.

Because there's no way we could have a basketball program without Bruce Pearl.

Anyone that thinks CBP leaving is a good thing, then you are absolutely CRAZY!! If that happens we will once again be SEC bottom feeders and will go back to TBA being half full if that. People whine about CBP gettin outta the sweet 16, if he leaves then we wont even get to the first round of the NIT!!

Yea right. Just ask hatvol. Phil Jackson, Coach K, among others will be beating down Hamiltons door to coach Tennessee.
Why would we have to call them? If making the Sweet 16 is enough for you Pearl sheep, I'm sure Jerry Green is available.

We're not going to call them. They are all going to race to Knoxville in hopes of being the first guy interviewed.

Well, I don't think that Bruce Pearl is going anywhere, and why would he go to Georgia Tech? That is not even a lateral move.
That being said, all you people that say we can not get a good coach in here, look at what we have to offer...
One of the nicest areana in the country.
One of the nicest practice facilities in the country.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Paul Hewitt

Hewitt it is.... Sorry for the typo, I'm just a football-centric kind of guy.... I still think it wouldn't be even a lateral move.... Tech is really becoming a football first school and from what I understand, Hewitt's buyout is substantial enough that he may get another year.... We'll see.

Hatvol96, I'm just curious, Who do you think would be a option for UT if we were to lose Pearl? I have followed your post for some time . I am of the opinion UT is in better shape now than they have been since the days of Ray Mears. I just wonder who would be avaiable and capable of producing a better product? :ermm:
