I'm waiting to hear someone say that he turned down the Magic.

Oh yes, the incredible rumor that Bruce Pearl had been offered the Magic job. I nearly fell out of my chair laughing at that one.

After someone said that, if I remember correctly, Hat said, "A perfect fit. A Mickey Mouse coach in a Mickey Mouse town". Or something like that if memory serves correct.

Dude, sorry to insult your intelligence. Lets compare who's bigger Vols fan? You hurt me by saying I'm fair weather. What are you 11. I grew up going to their games from the time I was about 3. My point was he is the best coach we've had in my lifetime. If i'm wrong tell me whose better. BTW just cause your able to spend all your time on this website doesn't make you a bigger fan.

I love watching someone beat Hat in an argument. He really does think he is God's gift to volnation

If you thought that was winning an argument, I bet you get man-handled at home.

I didn't mean that one specifically, I mean in general. I just quoted it because it was the response to his post. The man-handled comment was amusing though

So you enjoy living vicariously then?

Rick Majerus will never, ever coach at Tennessee. He would be a much worse fit than our most recent football coach. Where the hell do people come up with names like this? This is beyond speculation, it happy-fun-play time here at VN, today. He took the job at USC (again, I think we've had enough with coaches tied to that program), said he wanted "to die coaching there", ended up quitting 5 days later in press conference peppered with rambling statements and, get this, crying, because his health was not up to the level he needed it to be to perform his job. So now, he's a fat, 61 year old has been, and you want him to be considered if Bruce were to leave, which is the 2nd stupidest thing I've read today?

I'd rather be saddled with our mediocre coach than a washed up cow on his last leg...
Go look at some actuary tables and tell me the life expectancy of an obese 61 year old man in a really stressful coaching position....

And, don't even throw out any of your nonsense about "well I didn't say he should get the job, he should at least be considered". No he shouldn't, he won't, and this thread is worthless. I'm getting up at 5:58 tomorrow instead of 6:00 to get back the 2 minutes I just wasted ending this discussion about that erratic cow...

How do you leave for a job that you were never offered?

I don't recall saying that he turned down an offer, or did I say that he was offered... But he made it clear that he wanted to be at Tennessee and no where else. He has said that publicly several times. I'm sure you'll find someway to argue with this too.

How could anyone argue? No one ever lies.

I'll be the first to admit that I don't know beans about basketball from an X's & O's standpoint, but I don't understand the idea that if Pearl left Tennessee basketball just couldn't possibly ever be better than it is now. Am I happy with the job Pearl has done? Yeah.... as far as it goes. He has been an improvement over the last few coaches but quite honestly I think he's done as much as he'll ever be able to do here.... Sweet 16's are nice but if Tennessee ever wants to get to a final four I'm not sure I see Pearl getting us there.

+1

What's wrong with that response? Pretty sure there was well-documented example of Bruce Pearl lying to someone not too long ago.

Yea, I'm really not sure, nor do I care to look up what someone interpreted and documented. However, Bruce hasn't given any indication that he is looking for the next big job out there. He has everything he could ask for at Tennessee and he just signed a new deal at the end of last season when the Memphis rumors were going on. If he goes anywhere it will be because Tennessee lets him go because they aren't happy with his results.

I've never felt the desire to hand out water and towels on my own dime at a D-III school.

Ouch. That works for poochy punter too, but he'll assume it means I said we should offer John Wooden.

I dont think you've ever felt the desire to do anything besides fill up your poopsock and cry on the internet.

What does that change and WTF is a poopsock? DIII educations must be getting stronger.

So worthless you just couldn't restrain yourself from responding, I see....Maybe you should get up 7 minutes earlier so you can recoup the 5 minutes you wasted typing up that post. While you're at it you may want to consider using the other end of your pictured animal for an avatar....
