Alabama struggled against Auburn, Texas A&M and Arkansas…
And Alabama only beat a horrible Auburn team by a miracle, the same Auburn team that Georgia struggled to beat. I'll agree bama would be favored by maybe a TD, but that's not what you said that I responded to. You said they'd beat Texas by 30+.

Auburn and Texas A&M are perennial top 10-15 recruiting powers. Kansas State and TCU aren't.

At some point you have to acknowledge the SEC is better than other conferences based on their body of work. That's why Alabama winning close games against an Auburn team that lost the week prior to a non-power 5 team will always be respected.

The SEC gets the best recruits and puts the most players into the NFL. If they do that on a yearly basis how can they also not have the best teams?

They beat them by 17 and their QB was the 1st overall pick. The talent level on the 2021 was team was exponentially better than this one, specifically at the skill positions. Again, Bama would never beat a healthy TX team by 30 points. Maybe going against Arch Manning and no AD Mitchell.

Lucky for us they're both now in the playoffs with a good chance at a rematch in the national championship game. Let's see whose right if that game happens once again.

Thanks for making my point, again. All you have is assumption and conjecture. You don’t know what the line would be. Recent form? Alabama just squeaked by Auburn on a miracle play. Vegas thought Oregon had the form, by your standard, and Washington proved them wrong again.

Auburn is a consistent top 10-15 recruiting power. They're always gonna be a tough game for anyone. Just because they struggle one week doesn't mean they'll struggle the next. Winning at Auburn is always impressive.

With regard to Oregon losing, it happens. The reason Vegas is successful is not because they omnipotent and always correct. They're successful because they are right more often than they are wrong. The Oregon game was one of the few times they were wrong. If you think Vegas is dumb then bet against them every time. Let me know how often you come out on top.

How does one bet against Vegas based on a line? Which side of the line are they on? Looks like Bama is a dog in game one - is Vegas on Bama or Michigan? Which do I pick to go against them? Why isn’t Bama heavily favored?

Whenever Vegas goes against common sense. For example, this weekend the 8-3 49ers are favored by 3 points on the road against the 10-1 Eagles. Almost everyone was shocked by this line. Philly is at home and they have the best record in the league. Common sense says they should be the favorite. You can bet everyone and their mama is thinking Eagles +3 at home must be a layup bet.

If Vegas makes a line that seems to enticing one way or another then that should be a signal to you that they think they know something. They want everyone to jump on the Eagles at +3 so they can win big cause they think the 49ers are gonna win.

BTW the Oregon/Washington line being -10 was a similar situation where it looked like Vegas wanted everyone to take Washington +10 and they probably got burned for it. We'll see how they do today with Philly vs the Niners.

So you’re calling a 30 pt Bama win if they meet up? Is that the bet here?

Maybe not 30 but it'll be a easy victory. I just threw that number out there as a possibility not a certainty. If Bama and Texas were to play again I have Alabama by double digits.
