This is LAME as hell..

They're the best team! Everyone they play will be inferior.

Ole Miss was 10-3 in 2021
Mizzou has won the division 3 times?
Florida and Auburn are down BUT division and tradition rivals. WHAT DO YOU WANT???
Auburn and Florida are SEC teams like UGA that according to recruiting have top 25 talent! They've won National Championships this century
Wtf do.you want?!

I can't stand when I see fans post weakazz bS like this!.
It's a built in excuse for if we lose to them!
"Oh Georgia didn't play anybody. Thats why they the beat us ON OUR HOME FIELD ".

Either we're better than them OR NOT....
NONE OF THIS BS YOU CUCKING ABOUT...
There is definitely a fundamental question of fairness about the years when GA gets to count the Florida game as an away game. A 50/50 crowd in Jacksonville definitely doesn’t equal an away game at the Swamp.

I think it’s more frustration that we have to play an annually harder schedule and we always seem to hit the rotating west team when they are having a banner year. This year with the bowl game we played the last 4 national champions, went 3-1, and still couldn’t make the conference CG or playoffs.

That was UT’s year. And next year we are playing at Bama, at UF, and our opener is at a neutral site.

Next year UGA has to get through us in Knoxville….and that’s it. They don’t travel north of Nashville, west of Auburn, or south of Jacksonville.

It’s fortuitous scheduling for sure, but talking about Missouri’s 3 division championships and Ole Miss’s 2021 season is weak sauce.

But it’s also one less SEC home game. We all get 4 and 4 every year, they only get 3 every other year. It’s better than a road game but it’s not better than a home game.

True, but they’re the ones voluntarily giving up a home date.

They need to put the game on campus and the SEC needs to do away with permanent opponents one the conference expands and the 9th game comes onto the schedule.

I don’t want to see either one of those scenarios come to fruition. Despite’s Bama dominance over the last 15 years, I wouldn’t trade that game for another SEC team for anything. I’m a traditionalist and an appreciator of SEC history and that game is part of the fabric of both of our fan-bases. Same goes for AU-UGA.

Our administration needs to start making our schedule much easier. I say drop the annual Bama game and always make our OOC opponents cupcakes.

Why drop Bama now when we can finally compete? The series is cyclical. We are on the upswing and even if they aren’t in decline now, they aren’t going to be able to chug right along when Saban retires. Dropping the TSIO now, in addition to being a damn shame from a tradition standpoint, would only protect their lead in the series.

I think they should do Year 1 @Athens Year 2: @ Gainesville Year 3: @ Jax . I think that would be pretty cool to see.

We have always had to play a harder schedule.. hopefully they can spread it out more fairly with the expansion, I know I won’t be upset if we don’t have to play Bama and Georgia (and normally FL) every single year

Kirby is schedule committee chairman. It's about winning championships. Why would you want to play Bama every year, unless you got rocks in your head?

Motion to move the Tennessee/Georgia game to Bank of America Stadium (Carolina Panthers) and claim it as an away game on our schedule permanently moving forward.

Why not just drop them and replace them with a for sure win? Playing tough teams doesn’t mean anything anymore. Think about it. This years Bama game is gonna be tough. It will likely always be tough. Not saying we can’t beat them but Saban hasn’t really lost at home that much. So if we were to drop Bama and replace them with say Bowling Green. What’s the problem? All of a sudden we go from a high likelihood of a loss to a guaranteed win.

I wanna win championships. If that means forgetting tradition then so be it. What do you think Vol fans remember more, the 1998 season or the tradition of TSIO? Let’s say we were to win a couple of nattys withoit playing Bama. You think fans are gonna care?

Looks a lot like an Ohio State or Michigan schedule.
At least Ohio State is playing Notre Dame in South Bend in 2023. And the Big plays nine conference games; which I hope the SEC goes to a nine game conference schedule in the near future.

amazing that will find 80,000 suckers to pay for that trash. most games home won't be remotely competitive. To each his own I guess

How did not playing a tough schedule work for TCU? Yay we made it to the playoffs and then get waxed by 50 points.

Blame Auburn. Blame Florida. Blame whoever else you want.

It's not Georgia's fault that several schools on the schedule aren't doing their job.

You‘re not wrong, but it would be nice to see Bama, LSU or Texas A&M rotate on their schedule more often.

Lol. You think TCUs SOS had anything to do with them getting destroyed? No. Clemson plays an easy schedule every year. They won 2 NCs in 4 years and have made the playoffs what like 4-5 times? The reason TCU got donkey stomped was UGA bad better talent. Specifically more blue chip players.

There is no advantage to playing a tough schedule. OSU played a cupcake schedule and was a play or two away from winning it all.

UGA was scheduled to open at Oklahoma in 2023. The SEC killed it because OU is moving to the SEC.
Here is UGA's OOC schedule
2017 Notre Dame, Yech
2018 Yech
2019 Notre Dame, Yech
2021 Clemson, Yech
2022 Oregon, Yech
2023 OU out, Yech
2024 Clemson, Yech
2025 UCLA, Yech
2026 UCLA, Louisville, Yech
2027 FSU, Louisville, Yech
2028 Texas, FSU, Yech
2029 Texas, Clemson, Yech
2030 Clemson, Ohio State, Yech
2031 Ohio State, Yech

I don't think many teams have a tougher schedule.

How did we beat Clemson? We certainly didnt have more blue chip talent. TCU certainly wasnt more talented than Michigan. How did all them stars work out for Miami, TAMU, Oklahoma? We finished off better than 14 teams with a higher recruiting ranking than us.

No metric in existence is going to be 100%. Our fans even want to ignore head to head results and assume we would have beat Georgia on a neutral field with a healthy team.

SOS, or strength of record, at least lets you show that you have a good team that plays up to some level of talent, and arent just a collection of undeveloped 5 stars.

And I for one dont want to watch a regular season with nothing but crap games. I fear the day where college football becomes college basketball where 90% of the people watching the playoffs dont watch the regular season games. I like being invested in as many games as possible.

Funny thing.............If Clemson, Oregon, UCLA, and FSU all suck when they play......people will whine and complain about the "easy" schedule.
