Georgia's record...

Definitely freezing cold take on who has the pressure. It's in your house and you are favored. You're also the reigning National champions going against a program that was 7-6 last year. There's no pressure on Tennessee. Any rational person would consider this season a massive W even if our guys lose in Athens this week but the dawg faithful will consider this season a failure if you don't make it to Atlanta

Funny how we can go from one extreme to the other quicker than a Hooker to Hyatt TD.[/QUOTE]

Love it, quicker than....

Maybe so. The fans probably feel it, but I doubt the playas do. Kirby does a purty good job of keeping the team focused on the task at hand and this 2022 team is not defending anything. This is Tennessee week. It will be a great atmosphere in Athens, but there is still ALOT of fb yet to be played.
Fair enough, but I do believe the LSU game and the UK game shows Heupel does a pretty solid job of keeping his team focused too. I wanna win too, but man I want this game to live up to the hype it’s gonna generate. Screw OSU Michigan, I want UT UGA to be the regular season game of the year.

A lot of excuse making on this post. Look UGA didn’t play well agains Kent State or Missouri. It happens. We didn’t play well against UF. As far as pressure? TN isn’t picked to win. Most think you guys win. The pressure is on you because if we come into Athens and whip UGA then whoa buddy.
Not making excuses. Dude asked what happened. I gave my take. You say Dawgs didnt play well. I believe I said as much.
Still think the pressure is on UT to win the game Saturday, and heres why I think so: Vols are trying to overcome a couple decades of not winning anything, and they're thisclose to having a magical run. But they have to beat #1 on the road to keep it going. Lotta folks think they will.
Again, props to UT's current success.

Hey, I said last year, on this board, that CJH should win COY for getting to bowl game with the mess he stepped into. If he doesnt win it this year, then they should stop giving out the award. UT has things humming, and you should be proud of your coach and program. And rest assured, this is the biggest game of the regular season.

Oregon is pretty good

Whats funny is the Oregon fans wanting another shot at Georgia…we beat Bama on a last second FG after their kicker missed theirs - I can understand Bama fans wanting another shot at us. But that Georgia/Oregon game was a butt stomping - Tennessee Martin played us closer than Oregon played Georgia.

I personally think, as a fan who was raised on SEC football in East TN for 18 years but living in PA for the last 9, that UT is gonna be a very, very rude awakening for UGA

I’m a diehard Ravens fan having been born in MD, so that’s why my username is Sizzle. For Terrell “Sizzle” Suggs

Georgia has a D that will give our offense problems and they have the second best offense in the SEC - just a shade behind us. So Tennessee is going to have find ways to move the chains enough to get Georgia’s D to make some of the same type communication/coverage mistakes that resulted in easy TDs against Florida, Bama, LSU and Kentucky. If Georgia’s D can get us off the field quickly (3 and out) that negates the impact of our alignment schemes, shifts and tempo. Tennessee has to get that initial first down on each possession to be able to stress the D and that’s a big challenge.
And like I said, the Georgia offense is very capable of scoring high thirties or into the forties so they will put pressure on both our offense and defense.

So what actually happened in the mizzou game. Georgia just took them lightly? I remember watching and mizzou legit should have won if they had just made one more stop.

I watched it and Georgia came out flat and stopped themselves with fumbles, dropped passes and penalties throughout the first half. So they violated one of the primary rules - never let an underdog stay in the game because they will start to believe the can win. And that’s what the second half looked like - Missouri playing about three levels above their talent/skill level, the fans going crazy and keeping the Missouri team‘s emotions high and Georgia playing better but now facing a team who thought they could win.

That game was 180 degrees from our trip to Missouri last year when we put 35 points on the board in the first 20 minutes and the Missouri team just folded.

Should we start counting FCS offenses as well?
I mean Oregon beat Ohio State just last year, so I'm not sure I'd completely right them off. We'll see what happens Saturday. I'm expecting to score alot more points Saturday than Oregon did, but the dude's question was what other offenses has Georgia played and whether you like it or not Oregon is a Top 10 offense. I'm sorry if that doesn't jive with whatever narrative you are trying to sell yourself.

Georgia's D isn't as good as last years, I expect us to get at least into the 30's, maybe higher. #88 being back from injury for them sucks because he's an absolute stud defensive lineman who didn't play against us last year because he had the flu.

vs Kent State, Ladd McConkey put the ball on the ground twice and Stetson threw a pick. If they score six on two of those, we're probably not talking about the Kent St game. The game was never in doubt.
vs MO, Stetson had his worst performance as a Dawg. Threw it 40-somthing times. Offense put the ball on the ground twice. Road game at night in the SEC is not the place/time to have a game like that. Their kicker nailed 5 FGs, two over 50 yds. UGA put the ball in the RB's hands in the fourth qtr, driving the field twice and pulled out the win.
Don't think there's as much pressure on UGA to win Saturday as there is for UT. That's the mindset the offense needs to have. Expect the defense to play like their head's on fire. Should be an entertaining game.
Couldn't the same excuse be said of UTs close wins over Pitt and Florida. They did fumble twice against both opponents where a td on those drives would have made those games 14+ point victories. But I guess Georgia can only use that excuse?

They're pretty close
Total yards allowed: 262.6 vs 253.9

Passing yards allowed: 177.1 vs 172.2

Rushing yards allowed: 85.5 vs 81.7

Points allowed: 10.5 vs 9.5

Two things,(1-Oregano sucks, especially with Levis' mouth Bo Fix.He had to move 3000 miles to win games.Says that the Ga.Ore. rematch would turn out very different.Yeh,,49-0.And(2,We have worked ourselves, both our Vols andVolnation to earn this shot.We will give it all and die on the field and in the stands for this game.Very proud of our team.If things don't start your way,put on more steam.Do not let those sons-of -bitches breathe.Ever.

So we’re they not kept focused against Missouri and kent? I’m confused
I’m not sure which of your excuses to follow at this point

Kirby Smart is overrated, we already beat the best team in football and that was Alabama . This game is going to be a cake walk.
Tennessee 45
Georgia 29
Our defense is coming around at the exact time. Besides we have the next gen Steve spurrier as our coach.
Ssshhhh! We’re Back . Next 10 yrs will be sweet.
O my I like the sound of that !! Hopefully you are correct. Looks really good on paper. :) problem is on paper you can draw a windshield wiper on a pigs ass but you can't make it operate!! Just a little humor. GBO Let's make the Dawgs squat to pee come Saturday. Go Vols!!

Oregon is pretty good

Yes… but they caught them at the right time. First game with a new coach. Traveling across the country to a less than neutral field in ATL.

UGA would probably beat them again today but it wouldn’t be the blow out it was in week 1.
