Getting away from cable.

We have had great success with Hulu for a few years now, and to add to that we just switched to Verizon internet from a wired service - saving 60% and we have not seen any degradation in speed or reliability.

Yep, made same switch to Verizon last November, much better than what I had.

I'm too old to "cut the cable' and have 14 remotes around...

So I stupidly pay like $275/month...but when i grab that single remote...it comes on...and I have 978 channels with NOTHING i want to watch!

Brings back memories of song by Springsteen on Human Touch Album 1992, 57 Channels & nothing on. I have a flat wall hung TV in my Workout room with a type of antenna what they used to call rabbit ears. I get 41 channels on that TV. Hard to believe in 1992 when this song came out everyone thought 57 channels on cable was excessive and now you have the same problem with 978 channels.:D

I have used them all, so take advantage of the free offers until you decide which you like better.

Sling Orange is OK but you have to purchase a sport package to get SECN. YouTube TV is good but their picture quality sometimes isn't the best. Hulu Live has good picture quality and you get what you need for CFB. I add ESPN+ bundle to Hulu during college baseball. I liked FUBO but after their freebie I switched to YouTube TV then Hulu and liked them better. Stay away from DirecTV right now, they're in a contract with ABC and you will want ABC this year.

Youtube TV has the best user interface. We have subscribed to it and Hulu. Right now we have Hulu live plus Disney+ and ESPN+ cheaper than YTTV since YTTV went up. Also UHD costs extra on YT.

Iā€™ve used Sling Orange for the last couple of years. It works fine, but the cost is only slightly less than the others and I could care less for the other channels I get - all trash. Considering just watching in bars. Would be cheaper in the long run, and more fun, but getting a bit too old for that scene.

Holy hell
Seems like they Venus fly trapped consumers. Undercut cable and expensive services like DirecTV only to slowly raise fees to cable and DirecTV levels. Kinda like the frog in like warm water about to be boiled. Ridiculous especially when the content outside of sports is absolute garbage.

Does YouTube still not carry Bally sports? That's the only thing that keeps me from considering that route.

Pretty sure only DTV has Bally Sports. We switched from them to YouTubeTV and like it better (much cheaper), but I miss Braves games.

Its the only reason I'm hanging on to cable. YouTube sounds like a great option. If they ever get Bally, I would probably switch

I tried Fubo last year and it was pretty awesome. Stream quality was excellent. Could access on my phone easily on my phone. Expensive though. I loved how you could pause it in realtime, which is helpful with my baby boy. Can YouTube TV do that as well? May consider it if it's a bit cheaper.
Yes, with Youtube TV, you can pause and rewind live TV. Unlimited DVR, which means you can record literally thousands of movies and TV shows that are saved for 9 months.

ESPN
ESPN2
SEC NETWORK
ESPNU
ESPNNEWS
CBS SPORTS
FS1
FS2
ACC Network as well as B1G Network too. And NFL network.

Started YTTV and cut DISH after 33 percent increase in subscription. I think the picture quality is better than satellite.

Yeah, just push the button in the middle of the remote.

I had sling and the interface was a little tough and the cost kept increasing. We have since switched to hulu and it makes me miss sling, lol.

Anyone have directv stream, you dig it? Let me know what to do and the options?
