Ghosts..... Have you ever seen them?

Not really. I haven't talked to my brother-in-law since Christmas and forgot to ask him about the situation.

I believe in both demons and disembodied spirits.

I believe demons are obviously evil and controlled by Satan compared to disembodied spirits, which I believe are spirits from former human beings that are stuck on earth. How and why are they here? I've yet to formulate a conclusion, individually, for that so far.

Do you think that demons can been seen by the human eye?

yup. stayed after dark a couple time for school projects. be careful there, lots of dangerous people around. i almost guarentee you will find a gun or a knife there.

Is that right? Please explain.

I didn't know it was bad.

Sure. When I was about 7, I had come home from school and entered the house through the basement. I stopped on the landing to tie my shoe. While fiddling with my laces, the door at the top of the stairs slammed shut. The hair went up on the back of my neck and I ran like hell out the basement and to my Aunts house.

This was in 1969, we had no neighbors, other than my Aunt about 1,000ft away. My brother and sister were still in school, mom and dad still at work. Our house is situated on the side of a hill, and back then surrounded by forrest. No one ever came on that hill except family and my parents friends, and then, only when invited. Don't know to this day what/who slammed that door.

Fast forward 40 plus years, my mother and father now swear there is the spirit of an old Indian man that roams the house. They have had several happenings dating back to the early 80s. These happenings have been witnessed by mom and dad, several cousins at different times, and my parents friends. To top it off, my mom and dad's Chihuahua will not travel the hallway that leads from the living room to the bedrooms with out whining and running like he's been shot at.

Hey, who knows?

The house I used to live in was haunted. He didn't like when the door in the hallway was closed. Opened it right in front of me immediately after I shut it 3 times in a row (part of my job includes being a locksmith btw and the door knob worked fine). It scared the heck out of my roommate, who was very superstitious, and another friend we had over. We had many many encounters with the old man, needless to say it reached a peak then we moved.lol It would turn on the TV and xbox or talk to us in one of our voices, depending on who was out of the house. One night I was walking to the our other bathroom to get some towels or something and the ghost was standing in the spare bedroom doorway, I just said hey man what's going on thinking it was my roommate. When I walked back towards the living room a few seconds later I seen my roommate come back in the house, he had been outside smoking the whole time and never slept in his room again. Probably the worst thing it would do is every night when I would head towards bed you could hear footsteps in the attic right above me and they would follow me step for step until I laid in bed and shortly after it would sprint across the attic to above where my roommate was laying on the couch and knock on the ceiling, varying how hard it knocked from just barely to unbearable. Lots of encounters with it. I'm a believer in them.

P.S. Those things actually happened whether anybody chooses to believe me or not.lol The only thing we could figure out about the ghost was that it came out because we broke a door in the house one night during a party and after the first incident I started antagonizing it just to scare my roommate, which is prolly why it almost exclusively messed with me. Slide my shotgun on the floor one night too. Only time it really really scared me.haha I bolted out of that room.

I love a good ghost story.

So a buddy of mine is walking down the road one dark night just outside of New Orleans when a storm blows up. The storm was rolling pretty good and no cars were coming by. The storm was so strong he could hardly see a few feet ahead of him. Suddenly he saw a car slowly coming towards him and stopped. My buddy, desperate to get out of the rain jumped in the car and closed the door, then he realized there was nobody behind the wheel and the engine wasn't on!

The car started moving slowly. He looked at the road and saw a curve approaching. Scared, he started to pray, begging for his life. Then, just before he hit the curve, a hand appeared through the window and turned the wheel. He was paralyzed with terror, watching how the hand appeared every time they came to a curve. He saw the lights of a pub down the road so, gathering strength, jumped out of the car and ran to it.

Wet and out of breath, he rushed inside and asked for two shots of tequila. He then started telling everybody about the horrible experience he went through. A silence enveloped everybody when they realized he was crying and... wasn't drunk.

About 15 minutes later, two guys walked into the same pub. They were also wet and out of breath.

Looking around and seeing my friend sobbing at the bar, one said to the other, 'Look, man. There's the idiot who got in the car while we were pushing it.

Terrifying......

By the way who else here watches Ghost Hunters/ Ghost Adventures?

Ghost Adventures is the far superior of the two.

I liked the early season of GH, back when they seemed way more skeptical and did investigations on regular homes and not tourist spots. Jason was pretty hardcore skeptical then and would rarely say a place was haunted. A few seasons later, they were only doing hotels and museums and every freakin' place was haunted. Plus some of the stupid faking they tried to pull.

Ghost Adventures...tried to watch it, but found it way too terrible.

You have to go into GA with a certain mindset, but it's far more entertaining. I like that you're seeing most of the show from the point of view of the investigators. With GH the camera is always on the investigators, pointing out in some unknown location saying they saw something.
