Didn't think about that when I made the post. They are building a solid program and have brought in a very good coach who definitely knows the SEC. UT will have a huge talent advantage and should win though.

Not even I hate Vandy almost as much as i hate Notre Dame. Nice try. I am just poiting out that your best is equal to our mediocre, so have fun.

and all we heard this year was how close UT came to beating Georgia, Miss State, south Carolina and Florida while beating bad teams.

Vandy had a good year against not so great teams so Congrats to them.

Sad they couldn't even fill up the Titans stadium right down the street from their stadium for their bowl game, LOL.

I accept the fact that Vandy gets bragging rights for this 1 year but winning 1 game every 20 to 30 years during our worst 10 year stretch in UT history really isn't something Vandy should brag about.

Beating N C State after Tennessee already beat them isn't much to brag about either.

Typical Liberal writer saying typical BS when they have nothing else intelligent to write is all that garbage article is.

Vandy has never been and will never become a SEC powerhouse in football and their total overall record of accomplishments against Tennessees is a joke by comparison.

You have to earn the right to brag much so Vandy needs to win the SEC East a few times and win the SEC Championship a few times before they earn and deserve serious bragging rights and I never see that happening.

All football teams go through ups and downs and Tennessee has been in a down mode for almost 10 years now but all real football programs do rise back up to the top eventually and Tennessee will do the same in time too.

I remember when Tennessee owned alaBubba and now it's reversed but eventually Tennessee will rise back up and will own alaBummer again for several years like we did before.

Vandy will never own any serious SEC football team for several years simply because...They're Vandy.

Enjoy this season as long as you can because next season and the year after that will come rolling around before you know it.

With the exception of a very mediocre NC State team, didn't Vandy's wins all come against teams with losing records? The SEC was very top-heavy this year. They lost to the top 3 East teams and didn't have to play Bama, LSU, and TAMU. I'm just not that impressed.

Win lose or draw they had four more victories than Tennessee had, and they got the chance to go to a bowl and enjoy a victory there as well. I'm not sure I would go any further then yay they had a better year this year. The article does seem to be glancing at a longer term dominance by Vanderbilt.

The only thing I would say is they do deserve some respect as teams go into playing them moving forward as their recruiting class thus far is shaping up to be impressive enough that they will at least not be a pushover. Not only that they will win some games they aren't supposed to...

After that, let's see what they are doing two years from now. Of course, this is all contingent on Franklin actually staying once the next round of elite programs start knocking.
