Truth is #1 for them will be Calipari. Although he does not have a tough league and possibly 4 of the top 10 recruits coming in next year. I could not see him leaving that situation.

I really like Sean Miller from Xavier, to fill this position if the people in Lexington can handle another coach that is not nationally recognized. He is a hell of a coach.

BTW Pearl is not going anywhere. UK would never hire him. It would be if Coack Kryzuhwehuwndubdbduheludhluibwlb retired, and Roy Williams moved over to DUKE.

FYP, and it's not even close to being the same.

Rumors are running through the state of Kentucky like wildfire this morning.

1. Gillispie will announce his resignation today.
2. Donovan is in town.
3. Gillispie told the players goodbye after the game last night.
4. Gillispie was told last Friday he wouldn't be returning.
5. Pitino has said he interested, but asked UK not to reveal any info until after the NCAA's.

This morning on ESPN's First & Ten, Pat Forde said Gillispie is pretty much gone. He also stated that UK's short list included the following..........

1. Donovan
2. Izzo
3. Ford

No mention of Calipari.

I don't think he will but why wouldn't Pitino at least consider it? Closer to his horses, Lexington is a much nicer town, easier conference with a more storied program. Everyone (whether they admit it or not) basically worship him. On the contrary, hes got a great job and team built up at Louisville.

No.

I've spent many years in both cities.

Once again doubt he would, but I could see Donovan leaving Florida more this time than last.

Not sure how much BCG is making but I'm sure Billy D would have to take a pay cut on top of the fact that there would be a lot less job security. And what makes you say he has a better chance of leaving now than two years ago?

The announcers during the ND game were talking about whether he was gone after this season or not. Even talked about his buyout which they calculated at about 6 mil. I would think it is a strong possibility he's outta there. Cal is NOT leaving Memphis.

Obviously I don't know what Pitino is thinking, but he has already done his thing at Kentucky.

A lot of UK fans seem to think that Pitino is the only coach in the country that can return them to the promised land.

Gillispie is on his call in show right now. He says he still doesn't know his situation.

If interested here's the link. Click the "listen live" in the top left hand corner.

I still say letting Gillispie go is not a good move after just 2 years. It does take some time, but Billy's pockets will be fat walking away so no big deal. Im sure he will find something else in due time.
