Gillispie and UK settle

I know it goes without saying that you don't have the first clue what you're talking about on that issue.

So, top level programs in the Southwest are looking at Gillespie? Who? Texas Tech is a bottom tier Big 12 team. I didn't mean that he can't secure a job somewhere. He probably can get the TT job, but can you honestly say that some top tier team is just sitting there anxiously awaiting Gillespie getting out of rehab?

Yet, you act like Bruce Pearl is the second coming of Henry Iba.

Not at all. I think Pearl's tenure at UT is more impressive than Gillespie's tenure at UK hands down. It probably isn't more impressive than what Gillespie did at A & M. I'm also not out here pumping Pearl as being highly sought after all across the country, and I certainly won't be doing it if he gets run out of Knoxville the same way BCG got run out of Lexington. In fact, I think if Pearl doesn't produce this year, the heat will and should be on him. So, no you are completely incorrect.

I'm pretty sure Texas isn't looking for a coach or worried about needing a replacement for Barnes. Capel isn't going anywhere. Every other program in that region would hire a sober BCG tomorrow if they had an opening.

I wonder if he is enduring a second round of detox now that Keeneland has started?

I bet he's talking to counslers a few times a day, and counting the money that was owed to him in his spare time.
