Ginsburg, 85, hospitalized after fracturing 3 ribs in fall

Don't think she can be removed. The judicial branch is pretty much our version of a dictatorship except that there are multiple justices in the supremo court. These days a single federal judge can stop a president or congress for long periods of time before risk of being overturned.
We should have done this symbolically while we still had the house. It takes a simple majority in the House AND a 2/3 majority in the Senate to remove a supreme court justice.

Thanks, I'd forgotten that there is a possible solution to the "rule for life" plan. I'm thinking that successfully implementing it for someone over a biased political agenda is highly unlikely, though. Too bad we don't have a penalty for judicial "targeting" ... even as strangely as that works in football.

Her current health and inability to do her job effectively and unimpaired for an unforeseeable amount of time is cause enough. Dems wouldn't have agreed but it would have been nice to see them have to say she was just fine.

so if she's unable to hear cases, then how does a court proceed? Do they make their votes based on the jurist hearing the cases?

Sebastian Gorka, a former assistant to President Trump (and Breitbart News staffer), reports, “Two sources tell me RBG has left DC and is getting ready to announce her departure from the Supreme Court”:

Word is Ruth Bader Ginsburg is about to retire...President @realDonaldTrump and the Republican controlled Senate will have another chance to confirm a Conservative Justice. 3 Trump appointed Supreme Court Justices to lead our nation's Laws back to God. #PromisesMadePromisesKept

Speculation has even reached into the establishment media. According to the far-left Politico, the White House is quietly preparing to find a replacement for Ginsburg:
The White House is reaching out to political allies and conservative activist groups to prepare for an ailing Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s possible death or departure from the Supreme Court — an event that would trigger the second bitter confirmation battle of President Donald Trump’s tenure.

Fox News is reporting on Ginsburg’s past comments about what would signal her retirement. In 2013, she told the New York Times, “As long as I can do the job full steam, and that, at my age, is not predictable.”

In 2016, she told NPR she would “retire when it’s time. And when is it time? When I can’t do the job full steam.”

Speaking of her retirement, Ginsburg has also said that like her colleague, former Justice Paul Stevens, she would like to continue on the court until she turns 90. It also seems reasonable to assume she would do everything in her power to stay on until President Trump leaves office.

Have no idea if it’s true but Jacob Wohl is the same guy who had the fake intelligence company with the fake Mueller sex assault story that was so quickly, easily, and thoroughly disproven that it made claims that other sex assault stories were fabricated seem less credible.

The fact that people are still retweeting this clown speaks to the plausibility of election tampering.
He’s even less than a hack.

Trump has so much leverage with the Democrats right now. I can hear it, give me money for the wall and I'll nominate a middle of the road person, or I'll nominate the most conservative justice ever. And they can't do a damn thing about it unless a few of the Rinos rear their ugly heads.

Some days it seems like the majority of the GOP is of the RINO variety. At least some of the most vocal went away last year. At best, most of the GOP in congress seem to be filling time (and pockets) without doing anything of consequence. Considering the damage Dims are bent on doing, I guess doing nothing but being in the way could be seen as a slight positive.
