Ginsburg, 85, hospitalized after fracturing 3 ribs in fall

LOL.....
It's everyone's job.
If this war a right leaning judge there is no way you would make this argument of balance.

You've come out here and said what you thought is her is job, which is quiet literally in direct opposition to her job. She is supposed to be part of the yes/no ruling on the law. It is another branches job to change the law. It's the third to execute the law. You have her overstepping her bounds. You do that and next it's a right leaning judge doing exactly that and you will be up in arms. The best for everyone is for her to do her job and keep the politics out of it.

LOL.....I'm talking about life's job description....which trumps any other job description.
Omfg. That is literally the opposite of what a judge is supposed to do.

If you honestly believe this is what she is doing you believe she is purposefully overstepping her job in order to politicize it. Making a mockery of the title and role she holds. If that's her job in life to destroy what is supposed to be an impartial job she is not a great person at all.

That should never trump the law. When the law is open for interpretation, I have no delusions that that isn't exactly what happens.

So it's perfectly fine for RGB to use her "moral compass" in interpreting the law but not a judge who's moral compass is their religion?

It’s hard to fathom the delusion that one person in 9 simply breathing is a major moral victory and all that’s keeping a democracy of 330M citizens intact.

A judge should certainly consider what is right when things are open to interpretation.
In hindsight she certainly should have stepped down under Obama.
And how wonderful it would have been if she had been able to have her replacement appointed by the first female president.
Millions are hoping your last statement is wrong.
Two people I hope witness a post-Trump world: RBG and Jimmy Carter (both incredible fighters for good and decency at the end of their battle)

Who cares? Millions are hoping it’s right as well.

You don’t have the T shirt or 10 copies of the flop RBG movie on hand at all times?

No, that wasn't what i was referring to. And honestly i can't take credit for that because it wasn't me. I was referring to having respect for RBG's accomplishments but she is ruining her legacy by hanging on like this. This is absolutely political on her part. I lost respect for her when she made comment that Trump had no business in the WH (or whatever the exact comment was...) THAT made her political.
Ok I hear where you’re coming from I understand. Like hog said I think it does tarnish her legacy. It looks stubborn and maybe even petty. But I just don’t discount the rest of her very long list of achievements that’s all.

I did not say that at all.
I said I fully assume a judge will use his religious moral compass when interpreting the law/constitution.
When the law/constitution is open for interpretation, I would hope and expect that a person's moral compass is one of the things that guide them in their interpretation.
The parts that are not open to interpretation, should not be interpreted.
It's not all that complicated.

Everything is open to interpretation. It's what lawyers do. If you think any of it is black and white you are an idiot. She is political. Time for her to go.

Thoughts with her family this appears to be serious..not to think the worst but what is the official consideration for death of supreme Court justice? Like flags half mast etc..

She really just needs to make it to January 2 because, as we all know, under Moscow Mitch the Senate absolutely will not consider an appointment to the Court in an election year.
