I vote in order , Vandy , Western Kentucky , Austin Peay and South Alabama . I would bet dollars to doughnuts, that opening game has an early 12:00 to 12:20 start as there are several big SEC vs OoC teams that week that will take the prime spots (Bama vs VT , UGA vs Clemson , LSU vs TCU , and MSU vs Okla St) . Heck we are the worst game of opening weekend in the SEC , even Rice vs aTm , Toledo vs Florida and WSU vs Auburn tops our game ...

First game of the season is always no fun matter who we play.

I think the no and fun are reversed.

True statement on many levels. It's football time in Tennessee for one and optimism for the coming season helps to make the atmosphere great. I personally would go to the Vandy game though. You'll enjoy the Neyland experience no matter which one you choose.
