Going to Norman?

Thinking about makin the trip. Anyone else plan to go and does anybody have a good lead on some tickets?

Got our rooms. Getting tickets this month through Vivid.

I'll be there, will be my second trip to Norman. Staying at Embassy Suites By Hilton of Norman. There will be 8 of us, but we are expecting as many as 12-18 more friends joining us in the lounge on Friday night for a little libation and mini pep rally.

Will be heading down from Iowa. Have been to Norman a few times. Usually park in neighborhoods and walk to the stadium.

FYI, those that are Hilton Honors Members, the Hilton Garden Inn is only 30K points a night in Norman.

We'll be at BJs Restaurant and Brewhouse for pregame festivities on Sat. Pretty sure I'll be ready for a Bloody Mary or 3.

Norman runs out pretty quick, but OKC is real close and is reasonable if you do it before March.

I've seen everything from $150 to $600.

If we’re talking about game tickets. Mine were about $250 each at the VERY TOP. No problem for me, but my girlfriend (now wife ) hated them and she got 50 yard line seats for the game in College Station where you and I met...worth the extra $200 each. As far as hotel accommodations, if you can snatch up Embassy Suites or Hilton extended stay for a couple of nights, I think it’s fairly thrifty. Definitely cheaper in OKC than Norman and they do nothing but go up.

They were doing the checkerboard pattern in the stands that we copied ad nauseum afterwards. Were you in the end zone near the band?

We plan on going. There is tickets already on Vivid Seats. Do they already have their tickets to resell? It's only February 1.

I am looking at going, I booked a hotel in Moore about 10 miles north for $150 so that wasn't bad but I am going to wait on tickets for now. I can always cancel the hotel if it doesn't work out. But I'd suggest booking a hotel now.

Tickets aren't on sale on their website so my guess is those are season ticket holders who know they will have them.

Represented last time and this is a much better team.

Plan on being there and have a hotel already.

The south EZ has been enclosed since the VOLS were at OU in 2014. Unless you are coming up from Dallas I would stay in the Bricktown area of downtown OKC. Norman is basically a suburb of OKC so the drive down is not bad. Hopefully it will be a night game.

I am planning to go, but I've done nothing on room or tickets. The band is going, so I have to go! ;-)
