Golesh to South Florida

Good luck to Golesh. Was hoping that USF would play the swamp lizards again next year and beat them but unfortunately no.

Coach Golesh has earned this opportunity. I wish him all the best at USF. It's actually a good look for the Tennessee program to have CJH's assistant coaches being considered and chosen for vacant coaching positions.

Tajh Boyd was committed to Tennessee and Kiffin pulled his offer. Lawrence grew up a Tennessee fan but didn’t like Butch Jones’ vibe. I don’t know the deal with Watson as I didn’t follow his recruiting.

Butch Literally told Trevor Lawrence that he didn’t fit his system, and took Guarantano. The rest is history.

It’s Heupel’s offense. I trust whoever he picks to run his system.
I hope Scott Frost gets hired he could help run the offense for Tennessee (and rehabilitate himself for his next head coaching job) since Coach Heupel is really the defacto OC.

Props to Alex.A good move for him and a good recruiting area. Please stop with the stupid Heupel to Oklahoma crap.To answer that, would you return to a company who fired you after an eight win season where you,as OC, put up lots of points, thenblamed you for everything that was wrong? No,that would be so dumb.If you are dumb, that could be a spot for you then.

He sure seemed like a great coach at UCF. I read some pretty bad stuff about him at Nebraska but maybe that was biased. This wouldn’t be a head coach role for him either.

I am surprised he didn't get looked at for south Florida head coach job part of me thinks he just couldn't do nothing in Nebraska .

We need coaches with SEC recruiting chops. No program has the resources to live off the portal via NIL deals every season. That's the way to build a team for a season, not the way to build a program for sustained success. Who are the SEC assistants getting multiple 4 and 5*s every year and being paid in the $500-$600k range? Those are the guys we need to target and offer to double their salaries. Even we don't get them, we make the competition spend more to maintain their status quo.

This is a big loss. Golesh was a big part of Heup’s offense

This was the first season Golesh had play calling responsibilities. People are getting tattoos of our head coach's face on their bodies, not our OC's.

An unfortunate loss, but not monumental.

Does it affect Nico?
